About 7 my brother.... Unlike today...Which you don’t see any more...My dad and I used to play catch with football and baseball
I watched SBIII on a black and white Zenith 17" portable TV with rabbit ears - listening to Curt Gowdy - media coverage was no where near what it is today - the Daily News, LI Press, New York Post and Newsday and Times was about it - life was so simple then.
Yes i remember those zenith TV .....the channel Knob would break and we used pliers to turn the channel me and my brother were the remote control ...And sometimes the antenna with aluminum foil lol
Honestly.... the answer is never. I don’t trust this organization to ever get it right. I stick around only because I’m as inept as this organIzation. I belong here eternally.
5 years if they have stability. Saw a story on how the NFL is changing and it revolved around Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Deshaun Watson. The Jets could have had their pick at any one of them. Just depressing.
You have to credit A Reid and the Chiefs Scouting Dept recognizing the over the top potential of P Mahomes while MM and the rest of the League took a pass...too bad
Matt Snell, #41, Ohio State. "....Snell at the 5, Snell at the 3, Snell touchdown!......Matt Snell on a wide sweep to the left.....and this crowd is standing and cheering as the Jets have drawn first blood."
Sadly there’s no way the jets would’ve taken advantage of the skill set of these three players... if Anything the jets would try to change these players Style of play Especially Lamar Jackson it’s one of the reasons why I thought John Harbaugh deserve to be coach of the year... most coaches wouldn’t change there Offense to suit Jackson...
Mines were Frazier, Namath, and Agee. A barber called me when I was a kid and told me to come to the shop. Frazier was there getting a haircut and I shook his hand and got an autograph. He looked gigantic to me. he told me to don't tell anyone I was there. I told the whole neighborhood. He was cool then and still cool now.
That year Testerverde tore his Achilles game 1 destroyed my faith. The Jets were loaded for a run that year. Then they turned to Rick Meier who stunk it up. Parcells waited too long to play Ray Lucas. They might have salvaged a few more games as ray played pretty good when he got in there. I remember just like yesterday I walked into Junior Seau bar in San Diego and Testerverde was already down on the ground.
during those years most of those guys hung out in Harlem my aunt ran into clyde in one of the bars there and that was it for her !! Instant love lol .... you could find chamberlain in harlem when he came to town also
And to think we almost had it in 1998. So close!!! We would have beaten the Falcons easily. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
It won't be next year... https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/...0200207-dwefwezlnvbx5a2x2u5nmxeksa-story.html
