True but the Titans become a huge Cinderella story if they win today. We haven't seen a wildcard team reach the Super Bowl since the Packers in 2010. I would love to see a team like the Titans go to the Super Bowl, it's been so long, it used to be more frequent but it's almost been a decade.
Henry like "I'm gonna show you what real runner can do." Edit: Henry like "I'm gonna show you what a real passer can do too."
I just don't agree with that philosophy. Every game should be operated in a vacuum because they're so different from one another. You can't leave that drive without points, and really shouldn't ever chase points in the 3rd quarter of a one possession game. What a momentum killer that whole sequence was though.
What about all the games where the coach takes the points and the team ends up losing in a close finish?
Both of those were first downs if Jackson knows how to run a sneak. First one, flood the pulling lineman, first down, second one be Tom Brady and tunnel in. It was inches and the genius went backwards and to the side. It is a first down if he simply drives forward. Now you are going to see how good of a passer he is.
How does not taking points hurt you in a close loss? If you get that first down you still have to go 25 yards to score a touchdown anyway. And you may end up kicking the field goal anyway. Idunno. I don't mind going for the first one in no man's land. I always take the points in scoring position though.
