2005 we lost the top 2 qbs, brought Vinny back, lost the top 3 RBs and i think but I am not 100 percent sure a whole bunch of the OL. Winning 4 games that year was quite remarkable.
Winters is also done for the season btw. He sucks, but he’s a starter lost for the season nonetheless. Saw someone posted this article on Twitter https://phinphanatic.com/2018/11/12/injuries-pile-fans-fed-miami-dolphins-adam-gase/ Does this sound familiar? “How does any coach overcome the injuries that have plagued the Miami Dolphins this year? Those are starters but the back-ups are busted up as well. The Dolphins have gone to their practice squad and to the street market not to find starters but contributors who will now need to start.”
Best of luck to Herndon for quick recovery The good news>>>Unlike our struggling OL , our TE shelf is well stocked with very capable replacements in Higgins Daniel Brown and our homage to Mac special pick...Wesco!
I think losing Herndon is the straw that broke the camels back. I don’t remember that season as clearly as you do, but I still can’t think of a season where we had more injuries then this one. We’re averaging like 18 players on the injury list per game and we’ve lost a lot of starters.
I wonder if intense practices have led to this. https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/starting-to-question-joe-douglas.93118/page-5#post-3874310
Uh-oh, given the Jets whacky history, does this now mean the Jets might draft a TE in the 1st round instead of an interior defensive lineman
I reacted the same way when I saw this thread title as I did when I saw the Enunwa thread title earlier this season. Disbelief. What a unreliable player.
Regardless if you're a dark sider or optimist, remember the justification every Jets fan in the world tried to make to themselves that Doug Jolley was just Tony Gonzalez in hiding and we pulled off a heist.
