One can almost understand why the defense has been bad the last few weeks. No Mosely, Adams is dejected and checked out, Leonard William is a Giant, all the MLB's injured. Neville Hewitt, Trumaine Johnson... They have had alot to overcome and it hasnt been working out. But the offense? Enunwa and Herndon. Thats it. And Griffin and Demarius Thomas have been playing well in their place. Gase has had an intact offense with all pieces in place and practicing together since Spring.
I mean we're missing three opening day starters along the offensive line (Beachum, Osemele, Kalil) and starting a third round guard at left tackle. They haven't had the easiest road ever. Adams also played terribly yesterday. Dejected or not. Injuries have affected both sides of the ball. But this is the NFL. Teams overcome injuries every week. The Saints were 5-0 with Teddy. The Steelers are in contention for a playoff spot with Mason Rudolph. Gardner Minshew has played pretty well all things considered. We became a dumpster fire when Sam went down. And resumed being one when he came back.
Your right... OL has been a bit banged up too. But they have backups with starting experience like Harrison and Shell that have been practicing since the start. Shouldnt see that much of a drop off. Especially against the fins.
It should definitely be better than it is, because it's not even an ability thing. They're shifting the wrong way constantly and the blitz protection is awful. I don't know if it's too complicated or what. It should be simple. The back goes opposite the protection. The camera picked up Brady last night screaming "LANCE, LANCE." L word for left, back has to go right. Offensive line protections aren't some huge secret.
