Flawed logic it’s not one or the other, it can be both.

    Is it possible that

Gase sucks (based on career HC facts)

    AND

The Johnsons are inept owners who created this mess starting with the stupid org structure?

    I think both are true.

Therefore I want Gase removed AND I would never, and do not ever , spend a nickel on anything that benefits the Franchise.

Again, all the pressure and rage is being put on Gase, a god-awful coach & I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments.

But if all of this was directed towards the Johnsons instead, and they truly felt the heat, understanding that fans were serious about abandoning this team altogether,.. ticket sales at an all time low, fans shutting off the game, parents discouraging their kids from being jets fans, etc then they might at least take it seriously, become less involved, and hand off the major decision-making to somebody who actually knows the sport. Not necessarily selling the team but making them think twice about inserting themselves so much into the function and decision making of the organization.

Anybody out there see my point here??

The Johnson’s are idiots. That contributes to but doesn’t excuse gase as a coach. He still deserves to be fired and they deserve to be sterilized.

If we're going to clean house yet again, can we also get rid of these god-awful uniforms too? Hopefully the uniforms are considered guilty by association and we never see them again, especially the black ones.

The problem isn't that this organization is too quick to fire coaches. It's that this ownership hires the wrong coaches and GMs, like Gase, Idzik, Maccagnan et al. Keeping an incompetent coach just for the sake of continuity is just as bad, if not worse, than having quick trigger finger. Don't forget that ownership kept Bowles for at least one season - maybe two seasons - too long. What gives the current situation such immediacy is the way Darnold is playing and the way he has seemed to regress. If he has what it takes to be the Jets franchise quarterback (and that is becoming more of an open question each week), it's becoming more and more clear that Gase is not the coach to develop Darnold and, in fact, may be exactly the right coach to ruin him. I don't think it's a great idea to keep Gase and be here a year from now looking for a new coach and a new QB.

The same point that's been made countless times by countless posters back through the last 8 or 9 coaching regimes?

    Yeah.

    We got it.

  12. Its 2019..social media & viral hysteria is almost more powerful than money. And this is the Johnsons who care more about headlines & media perception than anything else.Theres a window w Woody inevitably returning from the UK either next yr or in 4.If he still wants to pursue politics does he want millions of angry fans trashing him nationally chaining down his “perception?” Theres that word again.

Hit them where it hurts. Its time for a true fan mutiny!

Just a thought but maybe because Gase is a fucking retard that couldn't win a game with the 85 bears on defense and the 1984 Miami Dolphins on offense.

Doesn't matter, home games a filled with opposing fan bases, they don't care if a few on this message board don't go, the corporations who buy the bulk of the tickets, have plenty of money to burn

Enough, enough, enough. The only sure thing about the Jets is that the loyal fans have had enough and they have every right to be angry and royally pissed off. From top to bottom. Spanning literally a generation of dealing with massively incompetent ownership. frocked with pathetic selections at both GM and HC for starters. Is inconceivable to think at the multitude of blunders in the selection process culminating with the hiring of the two village idiot consultants that recommended Mac, the most incompetent GM ever. But that wasn’t enough, CJ felt capable enough to select a HC and retain Mac to fuck up one more free agency and draft. The result is clear. Worst personnel in the history of the Jets, probably ever. Hard to judge the HC with such shit but it is not looking good, not for Gase, not for the Jets, and above all for the fans. There is nothing left to do but to say fuck season tickets and leave the stadium empty for each and every game. That is what the ownership deserves.
This organization is a joke, run by clueless money makers with no incline as to what it takes to build a winner.
Life is too short to waste it on this team right now.

Nothing will happen until Gase gets doused in beer by the fans like Kotite.
Then the owners will put him out of his misery.
Balls in your court to the suckers who still go to the stadium.

The problem is the NFL is based on socialism. Regardless of how much a team sucks and how much the fans stay away, the team's value continues to increase because of things like more affluent TV contracts and new stadiums. As an example, the NFL's most valuable franchise, the Dallas Cowboys, has not won a Super Bowl in 22 years. If the value of an organization was directly related to their success, then the Johnson's selling would be an issue. They're not going to sell because some fans stay away or are putting up a stink.

As for Gase, he looks like he cannot prepare his own breakfast, let alone prepare an alleged NFL team for games. Since game one, you watch the guy on the sidelines and see a complete disconnect between him and the players. He looks like he is in a perpetual state of shock, making him incapable of properly leading this team.

Only the Jets could possibly hire a coach who’s a downgrade from Todd Bowles. I’d take Bowles back in half a second over Gase.
