There is no reason, NONE, to keep Gase. You fire him now and start the process of looking for someone who can actually coach this team competently.
Okay Gase supporters, are you happy now? Darnold is going backwards at the speed of light. If Gase is allowed to continue to work with him Sam'll be good for Pop Warner...maybe. If the Johnsons don't fire him immediately, it will be a giant Fuck You! to the fans.
Sure Miami is all smiles, but we will have the last laugh when we draft another franchise QB with this first pick and then promptly destroy him.
The johnsons need to send a message. For the love of god dont make us wait till the end of the year AGAIN
he's not getting fired. QB got sick to start the season and early injuries that played a big role in our record. IF we tank the first half of next season then I can see him getting fired. But not right now.
Fire him and make GW the interim. Something. ANYTHING. Just not 8 more weeks of Gase and the Jets decomposing on my tv screen.
There are no more excuses to be made. This Jet team is well beyond unprepared to step on an NFL field.
This is not a reactionary emotional post. I'm keeping things in perspective. We were supposed to lose a majority of our early games (even before the injuries) - but the way we've lost them has been inexcusable. Now that the easy games are here things are spiraling out of control. Gase is an offensive genius but our offense looks completely disjointed. Even accounting for the lack of talent on the offensive line - the constant miscommunications and pressure given up on 3 and 4 man rushes is mind boggling. Things are clearly about to get really ugly here fast. Gase is a coordinator at this point in his career. Fire him immediately before our team completely checks out. Cimini is reporting that Chris Johnson is standing outside of the locker room and looks pissed. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
