My bad, I read the "hate on the TD throw to Griffin" part and though you were talking about Darnold. As for Gase, that wasn't his fault. The point is by rolling Darnold out, he can throw it into the stands if nobody's open. What the play call should have been for Russell Wilson in the Super Bowl. But somehow the receivers couldn't get open, the line couldn't block, and Darnold couldn't think. The perfect storm of awfulness.

This offense is poorly designed and predictable. These teams know what's coming. They even sniff out the 'trick plays'.
So Darnold can underthrow it and Robby can put in no effort to come back for it and it can be intercepted?
Gase telling a reporter Darnold needs to throw it away. First of all Gase, even though your QB sucks, you don't throw him under the bus at halftime. And second, you aren't even right. There was no way Darnold could have thrown that ball away with a man in his face. He has to take the sack.
I'd like to think Gregg knows he's calling a bad game and just wants to get Gase fired. But I'm probably overestimating him.
