We need to keep rooting for the giants to lose it will be a very high 3rd and a 4th most likely was a good trade for jets. No way we were going to pay him
Good, I hope he mauls our o-line so the Giants sign him quickly, and we get a 4th rounder in 2021, versus a 5th. IMO, Leonard Williams isn't going to magically become a force for the Giants.
Agree a Joe Douglas move. A good move. Get a great return this year when they would've maybe gotten a 3rd round pick in 2021. 2020 third round pick. I'm assuming oline round 1 wr, cb, edge or oline again round two. This pick will address a need. I also expect us to trade back at some point to pick up more picks since this team needs so much help. I also feel every pick before the 4th round needs to be an offensive pick unless maybe Chase Young is there and that still scares me.
People saying Leo will give the giants tackling up front - have you been watching this season? He has 8 tackles in 7 starts. We just got a steal.
other teams aren't dumb fans who over-react to everything. Leo is way better then most people here give him credit for. SO what if he never became aaron donald. very few do. doens't make him a useless POS like people here think he is
I think Douglas is going to use a ton of draft capital to address the o-line. I'm usually a best player available person, but the Jets have so many glaring holes on the line, cornerback, that we absolutely need to use high draft capital to address these position groups
Can't complain. Jets need all the draft picks they can get. Thats the only way they're going to rebuild this offensive line. I would have no problem if three of their first four picks went to the OL. Nobody on the team should be safe. I take a legitimate look at trading Jamal Adams as well. He's coming off a pro bowl season, and could command a lot in return. Adams is giving me vibes of someone who is going to demand a trade soon. I would try to get out ahead of it and maximize your return. Reminds me of the Knicks waiting a year to trade KP and the return being not nearly as good.
This will be the face that I remember from a terrible era of Jets football 2015-2019. He kept that smiling face the whole time despite non-stop losing too. Good for Leo. He was a huge let down as a player, but I still think he has potential. Nice deal for both teams.
Based on their record, it wouldn’t make sense to give up those assets for a rental for this year. They are almost certainly going to sign him and that second pick will be a 4th for us!
