Practically no look. Did he want everyone to think he was throwing it away? I wonder what it's like for fans of NFL teams like the Packers to know they're perennial playoff teams and will be in every game they play.
J.J. Watt out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle suffered in the win against the Raiders. That's the third season-ending injury in four seasons for him. The Texans are 9-15 in the 24 games he's missed in his career, so this sure isn't news they're happy to get.
Losing at home with Mahomes was surprising but last night despite putting up a good fight the outcome was not surprising.
Their schedule is too easy for them to go 7-9. I think they grab a wild card and lose in the first round.
They better fix their run defense otherwise they will be in trouble. They should be able to get to 6-2 this week with the Redskins coming to Orchard Park.
What were the Dolphins thinking on that 3 and 20 right before the half. They blitz when they should have played zone. Pitt gets an easy 40 yard TD that makes it 14-10. You knew at that point the Steelers were definately coming back. They probably come back anyway but at 14-3 the Dolphins still have momentum and maybe a shot at pulling off an upset.
You're assuming that they actually want to win the game. The two-point conversion "attempt" last week makes that questionable. Players almost always try their hardest, front offices obviously don't necessarily, and coaches often do what they think is best for their job security. That's why a Dolphin win over the Jets next week will be bad for both teams.
I understand the "tanking angle" but I would think these teams would want at least one win. 1-15 nobody will remember you as you just had a horrible year. Go 0-16 and everyone remembers you forever. Fans still remember the 0-14 Bucs team from 1976 who also lost their first 26 games going into the 1977 season before getting a win. The 0-16 Lions and Browns teams will also be remembered forever.
That was the game right there. They were screwed and it was an idiotic call for the blitz, nothing really to gain and the result was breathing life into the Steelers and their fans.
