After reading comments from the Vikings coach, it?s real obvious that they will rush Chad all day to frazzle him and force him into bad throws. I hope the line is up to the challenge and our O.C. is game planning around that run defense of theirs. This is a game (Very much like the pack game) where we can spread the field and distribute the ball to all the receivers. Id like to see the tight end get some extended action. When running the ball I think they need to work the edges rather then up the middle. Every thing up the gut from Detroit went no where against this team.

Im calling it right now, the jets will do that little fake double end around with leon washington and brad smith where one of them takes it 15+ yards to the outside

With their run D, I'd expect their linebackers to drop back and play a safe pass defense on us.

I wouldn't depend on gadget plays to get us over the hump this week. If Bad Chad shows up again, we're screwed plain and simple. Our run game is still in its developing stage and facing the #1 run D in the NFL is just real bad timing for our playoff hopes.

They WILL force Chad to pass. Its up to Shots to get his head out of his ass and come up with a viable attack. Other wise, it will be plenty of Ben Graham punts we'll be seeing on Sunday which if we're not careful, could become DoneDay...

That seems to be the only way the vikes give up any ground in the run game everything up the middle gets stuffed and the corners are vulnerable to plays like screens and delayed hand off's on the left an right sides. An end a round done in the right spot could gash them for some good yards.

I’m just hoping I’m wrong about the extra pressure that I believe will be coming Chad’s way. He has gotten that rep of being frazzled by teams since the Oakland games in 02. And last week he looked panicked at times trying to make plays that weren’t there.

This week would be a real good time for Chad to prove them wrong wouldn't it....

Wow, Childress sure is amazing... So he is going to disrupt Chad? I wonder if Mangini or any other coach has ever thought of "disrupting" the opposite QB.

Prolly not, this is def only a Vikes thing...

Screww the Vikes, GO JETS and lets be done with it...

the jets will need to be able to move the chains and keep the game in a no huddle -- the stregnth of the vikes is their run d -- not their offense -- they are letting up points in every game just not rushing yards. Teams know this and have been spreading the field and throwing on them. If we move the chains and keep their big fat guys on the field working hard on 10-14 play drives they will wear down and give some opportunites to run the ball and exploit them with screens.

Isn't everyone's gameplan against anyone to disrupt their QB?? Like why would you want the opposing QB to be comfortable in the pocket all day...

Seems to be every opponents game plan.

Keep it simple on offense. 3 step drops, no turnovers.

That is bascially every game teams game plan vs the qb. Oh and another think last nite i was watching jet coverage on sny and they were showing the stats for chad when they win vs the losses. My only problem with that is every qb in the league is like that, so for people to say he plays good in wins and bad in losses is a bad argument. That is the reason why his team won or lost the game usualy because of the qb unless you are Rex Grossman.

He has also had games where they are stacking the line and blitzing and he has made them pay for it. Hopefully we will get another good look at Good Chad this week. We need him for this final season run.

One sided defensive plans are most often bad ideas.
But, since it's the other side doing it I think it's great.
Chad should be able to take advantage.... hoping.
