youre not wrong but htere are less and less pocket passers in the league. Bring pressure up teh middle but the QBs are sliding outside the pocket anyway
Desperate GM's of a desperate team with even more desperate fans, pay wankers like this lot's of money, I would like to think he has fucked his career but in all reality he won't give two fucks or even 72m fucks for that matter or really 45m fucks as he will be cut in the out-year at the "sigh" cheaper 45m level "sigh"
yup QBs are evolving and are way more athletic then they used to be. maybe the 2 or 3 left over "statues in the pocket" being eli, brady, and flacco off the top of my head. Still pressure up the middle is disruptive. it causes a QB to flee the pocket which means they can't throw until they get back into space/position then it becomes a scramble drill. if you have good edge rushers it pushed the QB into the edg rushers. and edge rush without a good interior rush though is easy as the QB simple just steps up and can easily fire downfield in that position.
With all the holes in the jets roster caused by him, MacCagnan should have traded DOWN from #3 overall instead of taking ANOTHER interior DL. I know, he said he could find the right package, but after his firing other GMs noted that Maccagnan always took so long to think things over. Hopefully now we have a GM who can make a decision and not draft the type of losers MacNuts always finally settled upon.
A bird that cannot fly. Is there a more apt metaphor for this abysmal team named after machinery intended to get airborne?
They both need to be prioritized. If you can control the LOS more often than not, you have a major advantage each and every week. Makes coaches jobs much easier in terms of game planning, flexibility, etc..
I look at DL and CB's as cornerstones of the defense. If you are weak in either area, offenses are going to exploit the heck out of it. If you are strong at both, DC's have a lot of freedom and flexibility to game plan specific to each opponent. Playmakers on defense are the difference makers, regardless of position, and can transform a good D into a great one. LW is more of a versatile cornerstone player, but not a playmaker. It will be interesting to see what he gets paid on a typically inflated open market. I would guess too much.
agree with this typical that Mosley has hardly missed a game in his career - comes to the jets and can't last one before getting injured
The bad luck on this team is our most consistent virtue... outside of shitty ownership and stadium. The curse is real!
Lots wrong here. Idzik traded for Ivory and signed Decker. He also signed Breno. Idzik also drafted Sheldon. Mac is an atrocious GM. Are people still defending him? He was just as bad as Idzik and it’s actually debatable who was worse.
How quickly people forget that Mac was voted NFL executive of the year by the other 31 GM's in the league.
Multiple teams interested in Leo pet Schefter. On one hand I’m ready to ship him out, on the other hand I’m wondering if there are multiple teams interested because they realize he’s a good player but also realize we are probably never going to get the most out of him.
It’s really only surprising if you’re one of those people that run around making the same old hacky “hidden production“ joke. Not saying that’s you, but it’s all you ever get in a Leo discussion here. That being said, he’s had a super disappointing year so far.
They also realize we absolutely will trade him because there’s no way we can resign him to a meaningful deal when we are so awful. Very few positions have the value he will get on the market when you are a bottom of the barrel team.
There was a reason he dropped all the way to 6 for Jets. Same for Adams. Both overrated. At least Adams produces.
