I don't see any value there but who knows...maybe we can get some new Gatorade buckets. https://nfltraderumors.co/jets-expected-to-be-sellers-at-trade-deadline/
Bar Darnold, we should let anyone go for picks. Then tank hard and make the Dolphins hand over most of their draft bounty to secure Tagovailoa. Is it wrong to be speaking like this after the fourth game of the schedule?
Leo has been a HUGE disappointment as a pro. Its more of the same with drafting Quinnen so early. Interior linemen are not at the same premium as edge pass rushers. We should've taken Josh Allen, instead of beating our head against the wall again and again with these interior linemen that are "going to collapse the pocket" and "create interior pressure" only to never notice them making a play
If he is traded, it'll be for a late round pick as L. Williams really isn't a premier Dlinemen. But, nonetheless, anything for him is better than nothing when he walks
That would be the dumbest move he has ever made as an NFL Executive. The Jets organization is still in an evaluation mode on Sam Darnold. We all THINK he has the tools and skill to be a franchise QB, but he has yet to show as much promise as guys like Mahomes, Wentz, etc. In order to properly evaluate your entire roster, you can not bench your 2nd year QB and hope he is who we think he is.
No it's not wrong. We are staring at 0-7. If the offensive line continues to play like this, there's no reason to put Sam back there. 10 fucking sacks to a team that had 3 going into the game?????????
You do have to think about the long term effects of playing behind a sub-NFL caliber OLine. Playing Sam to see what potential is there has to be balanced against the risk of Sam being injured from taking repeated hits and then becoming the next David Carr. The main thing those other blossoming young QB's have that Sam doesn't is a decent OLine to protect them. It all starts there and up until now, Sam's been at a disadvantage.
Evaluating a kid behind THIS OL under THIS offensive genius of a HC is the dumbest fucking thing I have heard on this thread thus far.
I would explore trades for everyone listed except Herndon, who has zero value. Mosley probably has zero value as well with his bloated contract.
I agree but I think things change drastically with Darnold under center. Our offensive line is horrendous, but having Falk at QB makes things drastically worse. Teams approach our offense knowing that we will not beat them through the air. Their gameplan is simple, stack the box to contain Bell and constantly bring pressure to rattle Falk. Makes a horrendous offensive line even more putrid. Not to mention the complete lack of adjustments at the line of scrimmage. Bring Darnold in who has shown his game management abilities and suddenly teams can not completely stack the box and bring massive pressure if we are completing slants and passes past the line of scrimmage. It might be rough the first few drives, but if Darnold can get the offense moving, teams are going to have to adjust accordingly, thus giving the line less on their plate. Having ZERO run game, a shady offensive line, and a nobody at QB = 10 sacks
Sam Darnold had a 68% completion rate with 174 yards and 1 TD. All while playing with mono and having zero sleep the night before. We lost that game because we had no kicker, who took at least 4 points off the board and we lost our starting MLB who went down and immediately our defense gave up 2 TDs. This was all against a VERY good Buffalo team who just lost to New England by 6 points holding them to only 16 total points. I am fully aware of how that game played out for us and I am also fully aware that the offense looks drastically different with Sam Darnold at QB, even with mono.
