by that definition robby is a number 1. most teams "start" 3WRs these days meaning there are technically around 90 starting WRs in the NFL. watkins isn't even in the top 50 or 60. That's a bust to me if you are the 4th overall pick, never made a pro bowl, and been on 3 teams and only broke 1k yards once in 6 years. we give leo more shit here and he by and far has a better career then watkins so far (at least he made a pro bowl) and was a 6th overall pick and people here call him a bust.
We obviously different definitions of busts though. I would personally never call someone a bust who has been productive. When I think of a bust, it’s more of the extreme cases where guys outright did next to nothing. Watkins hasn’t lived up to his draft status or expectations though. There’s no disputing that.
I figure any player is a bust who doesn't live up to expectations. I'm not saying watkins sucks. he's obviously no vernon gholston and in all fairness wold be a starter for us right now. But he's a bust as in a top 5 pick who hasn't panned out as anything more then an often injured journeyman JAG WR.He wouldn't be a starter on jax right now. i'd take westbrook and chark over him easily.
It's way too generic, sadly. Half the Jets' recent first rounders could get that tag and don't even think about the second round. The really, really shit un might just about get it done.
Ageed. My take was similar - 'the really shit 'un by quite a long way' Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
not a impact player, hasn’t helped them win any games in the 3 years he has been here. Forget about what’s around him, he wants to known as a difference maker....difference makers help WIN games
"Forget what's around him??"Riiiight...This ain't madden. 1 player doesn't win games without help. That's a ridiculous statement trying to justify a position. Because Ed Reed, Lott, Woodson, Polamalu, Dawkins, Shaper, Tatum all did it alone...lol.
Those players made IMPACT plays. Adams has yet to make any in 3 years he has been here. Yea he’s a active tackler, ok?...he doesn’t make any game changing plays like those mentioned. Those guys would literally reck games for opposing teams
I can see why some don't like it. I personally do like it. The guy is making a statement that says "I don't care what the scoreboard says - I'm not mailing it in. I will continue to do my job to the best of my ability and try to make you feel me everytime you are involved in the play."
Macc at the podium at the 2017 Draft: 'Hmmmmmmm...do I take Mahomes since we do need a QB? Or do I take Adams who everyone tells me is the BPA?" Executive of the Year! One of the very worst draft decisions in NFL history.
