Sorry we bought all the propaganda the Packers put out. We're sorry we bought it, we're sorry we believed it. We're sorry we hired Adam Gase over you. Adam Gase is out. PLEASE Mike McCarthy come and take this franchise and fix them. You get full run of things.
Just look how successful the Dolphins are in the wake of Gase, Jets are already terrible, he's already reached his ceiling here
This team is a fckn trainwreck. What established HC in their right mind would want to come here without total control over the roster? Answer: None Do you think Chris Johnson would hire an established HC with a winning pedigree to come in here and get shit straight? Answer: No Do you think Joe Douglas can turn this shit around during his first contract?.. Answer: doubtful.
What's worse than being unemployed? Being employed by the Jets. The Jets: where all promising coaching, front office and playing careers go to die.
The solution is simple. Give Gase a couple games with Darnold. If this continue to suck as expected (though they won't be quite this bad), then fire Gase and Loggains, promote Williams to HC and Cooter to OC, and give Douglas total control. Then let Douglas choose a coach this offseason with no interference from ownership. Odds this will happen: slim.
Even the lure of being HC in NYC doesn't really attract the level of HC talent this organization needs. There's not enough gold in Ft. Knox available to bring in a HC with a successful, SB winning resume and pedigree. The Jets are the NFL equivalent of the NBA NY Knicks. Same stupid Ownership. Same stupid leadership. Same shitty results year after fckn year.
Yeah.. that would require the Jets go with a more traditional Org. Chart. that's something Chris Johnson just won't do. As long as the Jets make money, nothing is gonna change with the team because.... Profit over wins is the name of the game.
I don't understand why though. How does it hurt Chris to let Douglas run the football team? It isn't even like Chris cares about football. And if I'm wrong and he does, then he should want to let Douglas run the team.
NO ONE has ever figured this shit out yet. Going back to Belichek bailing out on Woody when they first bought the team. After that episode, it seemed that Woody just couldn't accept being rejected and decided to only hire newbies going forward. Chris Johnson thinks he's some sort of Football Savant and all of his decisions have absolutely sucked and for the most part, a waste of time and money.
After Chris Johnson’s selection of Gase he should never be allowed to hire another HC again. The only chance the Jets have right now is for Douglas to be all that he was hyped up to be and more. He’s going to have to be in charge, pick the right HC & draft his ass off.
That's like asking why a dictator doesn't willingly give up his power. Power. The same reason Jerry Jones is both GM and owner in Dallas. I can't say I blame them I'd do the same thing. I like to think I would have more common sense than the Johnsons when it comes to football they don't get it.
They just paid Joe Douglas a ton of money partially because he's Gases buddy... this regime isn't going anywhere anytime soon....McCarthy was always the smart move some of you guys got brainwashed.
A third of the league is playing with a back up QB and a below average OL...yet we are the only team that's non competitive
We’re playing with a 3rd string QB and a terrible Oline A lot different than backup QB and below average oline Gase isn’t doing a good job (obviously) but this combination is a team killer 10 sacks allowed today against a bad defense is the result of a clueless QB with no blocking
i gave up direct tv and the nfl ticket this year. i figured the team was at best 8-8 with a few miracles, and most likely 4-12 or worse after seeing what Mac did in the draft. i now have spectrum and watch the red zone channel, so i get to see some competant football teams. during the AFL days, the jets were on tv every sunday in upstate ny outside of buffalo. now, it is all BIlls as the jet owners pretty much chased away new fans through putrid management. maybe this is a preview of hell.
