I said Thomas. I expected good things from Rhodes, but Thomas has been a pleasant surprise. he got his extension and he's doubled his career sacks.
Breakout player - Bryan Thomas Comeback player - Chad Pennington Rookie of the year - Nick Mangold Offensive Player Of The Year - Jerricho Cotchery/Laveranues Coles Defensive Player Of The Year - Kerry Rhodes
If this was poll was conducted any other time than after Chad's worst performance he'd have a lot more votes. He's done a helluva job in a new system coming off what he has. He's my MVP for this team.
I'd have to say coles. He has really carried this offense alot. A very explosive, yet underrated reciever. For example, in the game agaist the fish, he single-handily won it for us.
Coles has been playin strong all year, but i got to give it to rhodes. He has had an amzing season (pro bowl worthy). The guy never misses a tackle and he leads the team in picks
His worst performance was Cleveland.....then CHicago...then Buffalo...last week was not the worst...had had it going early this past week...in Cleveland he was brutal from the get-go.
Are you kidding me. Chad is the only reason we made it this far. You should be ashamed of yourself for not knowing that. We wouldn't even have a playoff chance right now if it wasnt for Chad. True I agree he is not the Qb of the future but definitely is the MVP of this team right now. Rhodes is great but our wins weren't because of him. Rhodes also looked foolish by that pump fake last week from JP Losman that freed Lee Evans. Its easy to look at Chad's mistake but every player does mistakes. We wouldnt be this far without Chad.
I'm going with Mangold, kid has been a rock at center all year. People are quick to forget how many muffed snaps we had last season.
Not that he deserves any kind of an award, but Chad is clearly the teams "most valuable player." When he plays well, the team plays well and usually wins. When he sucks, you all know what happens. I agree Rhodes is an awesome player. But you remove Chad from this team and they go downhill way quicker than if you were to remove Rhodes
I voted for Mangold. What he has done this year as a rookie is simply unbelievable. I couldn't vote for Rhodes because all I can see in my mind is him taking the wrong angle last weekend as Willis McGahee rolls towards the EZ. TBTF
