Bucs @ Panthers Its an absolute shit show on the field right now with possible thunderstorms on the radar for later? I didn't catch much of the Panthers last week but I've been reading that they could have easily won the game if a few things went there way? Bucs need to contain CMC if they want any shot in this one. Side Note - Cam hasn't completed a Touchdown pass with 30+ air yards since 2017.
LMFAO, Toilet Bowles just shit the bed and caused TB to take 2 time-outs in a row, single handedly losing the game. Edit: apparently not quite. I didn’t realize the penalty yardage was weird on it. I can’t believe Bowles D got a goal line stop to win a game, absolutely unheard of.
If I was a Panthers fan I'd be livid right now. 4th and 18" from the 2, with Cam Newton as your QB, and you call a direct snap to the back 6 yards deep ... and run a fake end around?? Are you f#%king kidding me?? You think THAT'S your best option there? Some of these OC's are way too impressed with themselves. The Panthers board must be on fire.
He was a very good DC in AZ when Arians was the HC. He just wasn't up to the job as HCNYJ. I think he looks happy and is probably glad to be out of the spotlight and constant criticism of being the head guy in the NY fishbowl. It was good to see him look like he was engaged in his job and into it.
Last night proved that there are fan bases in a far worse situation than we are. Talk about frustrating as hell for Carolina. You have Cam Newton and your offense is completely useless and starts the year going 0-2. At least we are rebuilding our roster and have a 2nd year QB. I would be so PISSED if I was a Panthers fan
they have 3 players that are young and better than anything on our entire roster. McCaffrey, Kuechley, and Newton. The team is under performing to start the year but I would trade rosters with them in a second
I would trade rosters minus Cam Newton. I just honestly do not see the hype behind him. I never did. McCaffrey is a bad ass though. I love that guy
See I don't get that, its not "hype" anymore. Cam Newton is a 9 year vet, an NFL MVP with a Super Bowl appearance. At what point is he just acknowledged as a great NFL QB? Everyone sucks on Andrew Luck's peen but Newton was drafted just 1 year before and accomplished a hell of a lot more I realize Newton's personality is a cheesy. I want to stab myself when he takes the podium but he's a damn good QB. Look at his receivers - pure trash. And Norv Turner should've retired years ago, he's handcuffing that team. Newton could be the best in the game with better circumstances
He will not be acknowledged as an NFL GREAT QB, because he is not. He is a very good QB, but far from great. Cam has been in the league for 8 years now and he has a career rating of 86 and a completion percentage of 59.6. Tom Brady - QBR: 97 and Comp%: 64 Drew Brees - QBR: 98 and Comp%: 67 Aaron Rodgers - QBR: 103 and Comp%: 65 Philip Rivers - QBR: 96 and Comp%: 65
Newton had a great season, and has been very good, but you really have to wonder if the beating that he has taken over the years has turned him into an ordinary QB. They didn't do the team any favors with the playcalling (no QB sneaks all game?), but he simply doesn't look any good, and if he's hurt I don't see his health getting better going forward. Can't see how they finish .500 this year. But hey, he looked way better during the game than he did afterwards:
Cam is an above average QB. In between 12-15 in the league. He’s not that good. He has 0 TDs through two-weeks this year and he’s a 9 year starter. That’s unheard of.
It was very confusing. Apparently the penalty was just half the distance to the goal, even though it was 4th & 2. Since they were at the 3 yard line, they couldn’t give them the whole 5 yards. So it was like 4 & .5 yards. If the ball was on the 6 yard line, it would have been an automatic 1st, ball on the 1. Tampa lucked out. They then proceeded to get a 4th down redzone stop, which Bowles somehow pulled off.
Newton threw the ball like shit yesterday. Horrible accuracy (which wasn't great to begin with) but watching him play yesterday he seemed older than his years. He's 30 but all the time running the ball and taking those brutal hits have prematurely aged him it seems
