-Too many years bargain basement shopping. -Talented guys who could be awesome if they stay healthy/stay out of trouble/keep their ego in check. They never do. -Trying to fill dire needs with late round draft picks, because early rounds were spent on picking up the BPA despite having no need for them. -Replacing solid veterans with 3rd string quality players. -Trying to compensate for weaknesses rather than fix them.
I know it's been said, but man, either CJ Mosely is an MVP player, or that was some coincidence once he left. I hate saying this, but watching him on the sideline when the Jets only needed one stop..that was tough. Don't want him to really injure himself trying to help win one regular season game and lose him for the season, but it would have been great for him to play a couple key snaps on the last scoring drive by the Bills.
Big deal...just wait till we revive the Browns from the dead AGAIN next week the way we did last season.
They have a deep threat...it's just our QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn every time Anderson got open.
I honestly feel like this team isn’t the same old jets, but man this game sure was. Obviously the kicker and the oline were a bit of a disaster but this team has potential. I sorta felt cause of the schedule we were a 6-9 ( I know thats a wide range) win team but I am hoping we can just build week to week and start playing some good ball.
It wasn't a SOJ loss, it was an SOJ result. If you think that was in the Top 200 "Jets worst results ever" then you are either a teenager or have a very short memory. The only people that are angry are the ones expecting us to have a winning record this season. Sunday was just a continuation of last season with some better FA signings. - Bell looked good and it's good to see we finally have a running back that can turn what should be a 3 yard gain into a 6 yard gain. - Crowder appears to be a great release valve - Mosely was brilliant and we fell to pieces when he left the field. We haven't addressed CB and OL. We just need Douglas to be an average draftee and we may have something to be hopeful for. #TankForThomas
Very true. Yesterday's loss was awful but nowhere near Top 10 worst. Doesn't even make Top 10 in the last 5 years!!! Any long time fan should have enough scar tissue to get over this one. If you're devastated by this loss, your expectations for this team were WAY too high. Only thing that gives a glimmer of hope is that MacCagnan is gone and we have a GM who comes in with a strong reputation and seems focused on putting foundational building blocks in place (O-Line). Someday Brady will retire and someday the Jets will start to play like an NFL team consistently. Just not this year.
Eh we were sold this "we're gonna be good now" crap all year. This venting on here is quite tame, even though its only week 1. Congrats on building an actual foundation for your team, something we can never seem to do. Though Darnold > Allen in my book.
they were flukes!! Keep it real man Allen throws it at Cole Beasley who drops the ball right into Mosley's hands. Then he "fumbles" a snap that didn't even get snapped to him. Darnold had multiple passes tipped at the line, but Allen has 1 and it just so happens to bounce into the Jets defender's hands for an interception. Allen significantly outplayed Sam Darnold. Buffalo would've won by 20 points if it wasn't for those pure lucky plays. Darnold didn't do a damn thing all day and he was gifted so much
The Bills were stuffing the box the entire game. Sam has to make them pay, he had his chances and could not. On one sack he stepped up into the pressure when he had a clean pocket. He missed Robbie at least three times on game changer plays. This game was squarely on Sam's shoulders, he needs to play better. The play calling was not nearly as bad as some are saying.
A good team is able to run the ball when up 16-0 + give the Qb clean throwing lanes... its 100% what the Pats do to make things easier on Brady... he has time (best oline in the league year after year) to throw the ball... the Jets have ignored their Oline for way too long. Those thinking the Pats are going to be bad once Brady retires are dreaming... As long as BB is there, they will have success...
