So now that Peyton Manning seems to not be in the Jets vision for GM, who do you want the Jets to hire? Just wondering where this board is at when it comes to a new General Manager.
what's the difference. he'll make 1 bad pick like every GM, the fanbase will hate him, and 2 years from now we'll have a new HC and GM like always. Sam's rookie contract window will be gone, our in house talent will be gone, we'll rebuild again. but hey at least we'll have a FQB thanks to the GM that was fired out of nowhere. 5 years from now people here will be saying they wish mac was back.
We have a franchise QB thanks to David Gettlemen. No one here will ever ask for Macc back except you.
I'm leaning towards Wolf. Practically grew up in a good Packers FO. Between his Dad and Dorsey alone, I'd think he'd have learned a thing or two.
Just give it up. You can't point out to a moron that they are a moron. They don't have the base intelligence to understand why they lag behind the average.
It’s Joe Douglas or bust for me. Otherwise I’d prefer they let Gase keep the job for the year and fire his ass when shit inevitably hits the fan this year.
You hate Gase so much you’d wish the team to be unsuccessful. That’s crazy. You should hope he’s the best coach we’ve ever had. Yall are some backwards dudes lol.
This right here is why I can't stand this fuckin fan base sometimes. You are literally wishing for this team to fail, just so Gase can be fired, because you don't like him. As a Jets fan, wouldn't you want him to become the next greatest coach and take us on endless super bowl runs? I mean, what the fuck is wrong with some of you. Holy shit
This is what is often called a "fool's errand." Supply no information, no parameters and no criteria but expect someone to put forth an opinion; then make them live with it. The reality is that no one here has sufficient information to know who might be qualified to perform the function. We hear names, see where they may have worked and listen to "whispers" from unnamed sources. Peyton Manning was a great quarterback but there's no information available that indicates he would be at all prepared to perform the functions of a general manage or someone overseeing the functions of a GM. There are so many judgements that we here as outsiders are unequipped to make simply because we don't have access to the information and can only perform post mortems when the reasons behind failure (or the rare success) become available. Of course that never stops way too many from commenting any way.
Not sure how you got that I want the team to fail. Sure that would be great, it will also be great if I won the lottery and Giselle cheated on Brady with me.
Considering the track record in the insiders have, especially Jets insiders, I'm not impressed with whatever their secret info is. Having said that, Douglas looks like the best candidate of those mentioned based on his resume.
I am not rooting for Gase to fail. I just know he will , it is who he is. Anybody that doesn’t realize it was a foolish hire mind is fogged by green glasses.
"I'd prefer they let Gase keep the job for a year and then fire his ass when shit inevitably hits the fan this year" Ummm, what does that imply? Lol
You don't know that. Gase failed in Miami, but they were dysfunctional long before he got there and Tannehill and the various backups all sucked. Not many coaches could have won under those circumstances. Unfortunately, the Jets are as dysfunctional as the Dolphins, but at least Darnold projects to be a good quarterback.
