he has had a never say die attitude all season, and all of a sudden in enemy territory 4th and inches he doesnt go for it. wtf??? waht is wrong with this guy
thats game, i blame chad and mangini for this loss.........but more on mangini because that decision was just plain stupid..........that was definatel the turning point in the game and it cost us the game
we deserve to lose this game. I don't blame our coaches. Mostly our players since they didn't show up today. They made McGahee look like he's better that LT. Chad looked like crap. D'brick looks scared. Regardless we sucked today.
I hate to sound negative, but I had a feeling we were going to lose this game. It seems as if we can never sweep the Bills. I hope this is one of the loses where we can learn from, and come out next week with a big win. REMEMBER, we are still in the playoff hunt. The Broncos and Chiefs both lost, we just need to practice real hard this week.
what about "D'Brick" letting Ryan Denney or whoever #94 is on the Bills blow right by him ? that fumble recovery set up the 5-yard TD pass by Loserman, which basically ended the game.
The punt on the first drive of the third quarter was perhaps Mangini's worst in-game call of the season. I can't believe that he decided to punt the ball when they had a fourth and less than a yard from the 38. That decision and the punt with six minutes left to go in the Bears game really were dismal IMHO. It seemed like that really took the air out of the Jets and they never recovered. If they make the first down they can perhaps tie the game up. After that drive the Jets didn't do anything. For some reason they consistently seemed like they wanted to force the ball to Houston when Washingtion was having better success. That flip to Houston on second and ten towards the end of the third quarter was really a downer. All in all a terrible game by the entire team. QB, OL, defense and coaching. Just when you thought that the Jets could make a run they come up with a game like this.
Chad just said in the press conference that he decided not to go for it when he saw that "all the gaps were covered" by the Bills. Stop killing the coach for one damn play.
How about the fact that the bills played well? They obviously did some good things on defense sitting 7 guys in a zone and still getting pressure.
This is the best post I have found thus far. Just an abyssmal performance. I thought these guys wanted it......the playoffs......I thought wrong. There is still a marginal chance if we win out, but none of the remaining games will be easy.
Sorry, I was wrong here. It was part of the game plan to take the penalty if the defense covered the gaps. I don't agree with it either, but it didn't kill us today. All the other shit did.
that 3rd and 1 in the 1st quarter pissed me off to hell ....with that BS play action fancy bullcrap......this is guy is outsmarting himself .. coach is really showing of what a rookie he is.....they are times to take chances and times to line up and play smash mouth
