Hey Brook I have a question = If person enjoys snowstorms and lets say another person hopes for NO snow ---> would that be the equivalent of a person going to Draft nite and driving to Met Life while another person hopes that the team trades out of round #1 ? Asking for a friend
I like the way your mind works but I am in favor of just trading LEE period and let someone else try and tell me " how good he could be " with better coaching.
Hahaha. Exactly. And my friend GQ will be mad at me but if Jets aren't taking Bosa or Allen then I hope they trade out but still stay inm the 15-20 range so they pick up an offensive lineman with the pick.
My brain is saying Quinnen Williams, but my heart is saying Josh Allen. Ed Oliver seems to be picking up a ton of steam though.
If we can't have Bosa...then Josh Allen is my pick. He's a bit raw, but Williams can tune him up. We need a pass rush fer gawdsakes...
I can understand wanting Allen over Q, I want Allen over Q as well although I do think Q is the better talent. I cannot for the life of me understand wanting Allen over Bosa though. Bosa fills one of our biggesr needs and is by far a better talent. I’m convinced only Jets fans think Allen is close to Bosa.
That was the price for Sam Darnold. The Jets don't have to hold out for that amount if they get a good offer. Moving back 3 spots and picking up a 2nd would be a reasonable trade. In 2013, Raiders went from pick 3 to pick 12 and only picked on one second rounder.
My tv provider has just offered to record the draft and pop it in a special file, so I won't be around tomorrow until I have watched it as live for the first time ever
Is Bosa really injury prone? Or does this narrative come from him playing just 3 games last year? He played in 12 games in 2016 and 14 in 2017.
Having a QB like Darnold makes this draft much easier and less to worry about. I'd like to use as many picks as possible to build around Sam on the offense, but this draft is defense heavy at the top. Have to imagine Bosa, Williams or Allen is a Jet by the end of the night.
I am starting to think we are trading down to pick up a centre in the second maybe? But crucially it has to include a 1st for next year if we drop down.
I’ve honestly had a hard time keeping up with this year’s draft, unlike the last 5 or so years where I was really on top of it. First of all, I don’t understand how Cardinals are going QB at 1. I get it’s a new regime and they want their guy, but is Rosen really that bad to just move on from their first rounder from last year? Second of all, why has Allen’s stock dropped while Oliver’s (who I’ve done 0 research on, haven’t even seen a highlight video lol) has risen up to our possible pick?
I have no idea about the second question, but to me what Arizona is doing is understandable. The issue is not whether Rosen is that bad, it's that they believe that Murray is that much better for them. Refusing to upgrade in a major way at the #1 premium position because you invested in it last year is a poor strategy, especially since Rosen isn't worth zero in a trade. Actually, the biggest reasons not to do it are embarrassment because it means that you could have done better last year (but that is mitigated by them being such completely different quarterbacks) and the risk that it blows up in their faces. Is it daring? Yes. Could it cost people their jobs if it doesn't work out? You bet. Is it the right decision? I have no idea. Is it crazy? I don't think so.
