This Pennington crap has to stop. Unless great means mediocre. He was never a God among men. He better have a good game against the Packers. If he doesn't, he doesn't deserve to even be a quarterback, let alone a starting one. I've had enough of Pennington personally but obviously he's our only chance at the postseason still and you just know he's going to blow it because he's just not any good.

He was never praised as a god amongst men. Except maybe by NYJ2K6 or what ever the hell his name is now. Everyone who has any intelligence at all know that he's an average QB with ups and downs and today was a down. (not saying 2K6 has none, so no offense buddy) And im sorry, im not going to go nuts on chad like many other people because it wasn't just his fault, but still if he's the future of this team than i have a feeling we're going to be having many more days like this within the next couple of years.

On the fumble where he got blindsided, he had PLENTY of time to throw the ball, and ran RIGHT into the sack. His pocket presence SUCKS. And no, I didn't expect a Super Bowl this year or next year, and they're already overachieving, which I'm happy with. There are plenty of cheaper, better QBs to "bridge" us to the future than Pennington. Just start Clemens next season because it's better than watching Pennington.
Listen man, im with you on this to a certain degree (i cant believe im saying this) but you need to calm down, regardless of what happens we're still jet fans and need to support our qb however limited he may be.
He can have all the time he wants, but your going to complain either way even if he forces up a throw to double coverage to evade the sack. Chad took a paycut to still be a Jet and is making hardly anything....Clemens would get slaughtered if the Line plays like they did today.

Basically im fed up, arent you guys mad at all that we cannot throw the ball down the field ? How can any of you be happy with the checkdown almost every single play ? Even in the closing seconds, were still playing conservatively. Disgusting. I thank chad for helping us thus far, but its true we will never win a superbowl with this man at qb. I'm right here and I was one of the people supporting Pennington this year, (although I never said the statement you posted above) Don't blame this game on just Pennington. The defense gave up a very long run and a 76 yard pass. We also let McGahee and Thomas run all over us when we needed a stop. Granted, Pennington sucked today and played horribly but its not all on his shoulders.
Just because Chad sucked today doesn't mean everyone else didn't suck like our defense and play calling for the second half.
we are ridiculous as fans...NO ONE expected us to do as well as we have this year, and we have a bad game and instantly we are calling for Pennington to be killed. IM sure the Colts fans want Peyton to sit after having a tough game today. Everyone just shut your freaking mouths about how Pennington sucks. He had a bad game but he is not the only one to blame. Lets take a look at our defense who allowed willis to have another huge day, or our offensive line who let aaron schobel to get to Chad too many times. This was a pathetic team loss, not just on Chad.
