My brother had 2 labrum surgeries... 1st went well.... until he retore it. 2nd one, not so much My left labrum is shredded.... 11-3 slap tear, been dealing it for years. Good thing i'm super duper xtra tough!!!
I recovered from my RC surgery to be able to fully participate in coaching my youngest daughters soccer team. Pretty sure going up against 300 LB linemen would be a little different.
I remember landing Alan Faneca when he was roughly 32-33 years old. Worked out great during our 2009 run. Hope Sitton can still dominate.
He wasn't coming off a torn rotator cuff. He missed TWO games his entire career up until that point, which was 10 years deep. Insane.
I’m not cutting Winters because at a minimum he provides much needed depth. And I’m not sure he was fully healthy all of last year after his 2017 injury.
If you couldn't find the article The Miami Dolphins continued their roster purge at the start of the league year Wednesday by releasing veteran guard Josh Sitton. Sitton is likely to wind up with the New York Jets, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. There he would reunite with Jets coach Adam Gase, formerly of the Dolphins. Sitton, 32, signed a two-year, $13.5 million deal with the Dolphins last March with hopes of fortifying Miami's interior offensive line. Sitton's season ended shortly after it started when he tore his rotator cuff in Week 1 versus Tennessee. Sitton had surgery and was placed on injured reserve in September. The 6-foot-3, 320-pound veteran guard is a four-time Pro Bowler who has played 11 NFL seasons, including his first eight in Green Bay. The Dolphins will now have to find at least two new starters, and possibly more, on their offensive line. Right tackle Ja'Wuan James departed in free agency, landing a four-year, $51 million deal with the Denver
There is no way in hell you cut Winters for Sitton. Sitton wouldn't be anything more than depth in case Osemele doesn't work out, so not sure I'm down with this signing unless cheap. Jets should be looking as Wisniewski instead as he's both Guard and Center depth, which is exactly what we need.
We have Ducasse as a backup... oh wait wrong year...amazing Ducasse is still going, a journey man but holding his own And had a solid year with the Bills last year.
I don't understand the fascination with Wisniewski. He's been benched multiple times by the Eagles and lost training camp competitions. When he got benched last year he went to the media with alternate theories as to why he was benched because it couldn't be performance related, but then declined to explain. Just because he plays the position doesn't mean he's good.
If Osemele doesn’t work out I will be severely bummed out. He’s actually my favorite transaction this offseason. Love Bell, C.J, Crowder but I really really want to build a stout line and I’m hoping he’s the nasty mauler we’ve been led to believe.
I'm not fascinating with W in the least, but I don't want to head into the draft with just Harrison at C. We know W can play both G and C, and is at least decent at it. Just because the Eagles found a better Guard option, does not mean he wouldn't hold value for us a C/G option. That could give us flexibility to still try hard to draft a C, while having good interior depth, as well as options should the draft not shake out a Center for us. And I don't see him costing much either..
I'm very hopeful for Osemele. Dude was a straight stud in Balt, and was my personal #1 priority in our FA a couple years back (Oakland always beats us on Oline FA's for some reason). My only concern is the effect of his injuries last year, along with playing 30lbs less. Is football still important to him, or is he ready to start a new healthier lifestyle?
I feel the same way about Winters-- on good days, he's only below average at his job-- but Jets fans are all about signing up for more!
It’s a good question, but always a relevent one with vets. On the plus side he’s only 29 with no dead money after this year if he doesn’t work out.
