No, you don’t understand what unilaterally means. Unilaterally means without the agreement of the other party. When a team cuts a player, the player has agreed to the team having that right per the agreement the player signed. Try again. You don’t seem to understand what it means to honor a contract. If the player agrees to a contract in which the team has the right to cut the player, the team has honored the terms of the agreement. You don’t seem to have an understanding of contracts.
The contract he was reportedly offered by Pitt had $33 mill guaranteed and $45 mill in first 3 years. He gambled THAT away because he thought he was going to get $17-$18 mill a year and possibly $50+ mill in guarantees. That someone would pay him for his missed year. The strategy did not work out like he had hoped.
It will be. At least the guaranteed portion anyway. The full guarantees will only be years 1 & 2. There may be a partial guarantee or a roster bonus in the other years but you can avoid them if need be
Perhaps he didn't want to be in Pittsburgh? Has anyone thought of this? Plain and simple. Brown left the next year. What does this say about the Steelers?
Agreed. Pittsburgh seems like it's falling apart. The Jets are up and coming with Darnold. It's a better situation honestly.
Is it an act of God that Darnold is on the Jets and only 1 team pursued Le'Veon? Is it possible some Jet fan out there made a sacrifice to get us out of football purgatory?
In an alternate timeline Barkley's on the Jets and Darnold on the Giants. Jets go into this year with no QB and shit's looking bad. Either that or we have Rosen/Allen and shit still sucks.
They better do something about that oline and also show that they are a threat throwing the ball otherwise defenses will stack the box and stick it up Bell's ass.
I think there may be something to that... Pittsburgh made 2 major mistakes over the last couple years: letting AB run wild, and not taking care of Bell the way he should've been taken care of..... Now neither of them are there, the Brown have suddenly became loaded, and Tomlin is coaching for his job... Long story short, the Steelers created a mess for themselves because of their arrogance Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
WR group + Herndon isn't all that bad. Would be nice to get an elite #1 receiver though, unfortunately there's nothing out there. Would be nice to find something good in the draft, but that's not a guarantee especially because you're not drafting a WR at #3. This is where Mac needs to come up big in the mid rounds for once.
One guy that’s out there, I think at least, that would help Sam a lot is Garçon. At this age he doesn’t have to play every snap and he’s the type of guy that can make the gritty, tough play.
