What word did he give? We found this agreement out from "sources", the same "sources" that are now saying that he wanted a night to sleep on the deal. No agreements during this period count for anything because it is not officially Free Agency.

This whole "legal tampering period" was designed for ratings, nothing more. If it was still "illegal tampering", we probably wouldn't ever have heard about the Barr thing.

I am certain that there was an exchange between he and Jets front office of some sort. Otherwise, we would see more players backing out of these "handshake" agreements during the legal tampering period.

Either way, this blows complete ass no matter how we want to dice it up.

So was Vernon Gholston and Aaron Maybin. 6 years in the league and he doesn’t even have 15 sacks to his name.

Because he pretty much never gets the chance to actually rush the passer.

    This.

It's one thing to be in serious talks with a team, and then decide to go elsewhere. Nothing wrong with that.

But Barr had an agreement with the Jets. It's a d*** move.

You need to read more. He has been in a 4-3 system his entire career and only rushes the passer 25% of the time.

Not trying to be a jerk, but you have it twisted.

Why was this moved, kinda significant and Jets related, no?

I think this is a huge blow, CJ Mosley signing looks extremely bad to me without an edge player next to him.

People downplaying and saying this is a blessing I feel haven't really done their homework on Barr.

    Damn.... that's really unfortunate.

I am still depressed over it. I was thrilled about him. More so than Mosley.

We draft Allen or Gary, or Bosa (if he falls to us) and the edge rusher problem is solved

Agreed. I am just seeing this news and completely confused and furious. Definitely belongs in the Jets Forum. It is terrible.

Here's the thing. If we got Barr. We have so many more options heading into the draft. We could've paired an edge guy up with Barr and Mosley, that would've been amazing.

You also have a young edge guy in Barr and could easily move back into the draft now to address other needs.

I puked in my mouth at the thought of Gary on this team.

I'm not saying losing Barr doesn't hurt... I'm a Pac 12 junkie who was over the moon last night... I'm just saying there are options.... Of the three I mentioned I'd want either Bosa or Allen.... Gary along with the rest of the edge rushers have some questions about them....

Viking'd again. I guess this means the Jets will draft a better version. If history holds.

LOL..... I'm guessin he had some old NYC "dirty water dogs"

""Anthony Barr thinks about the idea of playing in New York with the Jets last night got sick, physically sick, last night," Schefter said on NFL Live. "He did not feel right about the decision at all. That's when they went back to the Vikings and the Vikings stepped up, improved their offer, got the deal done for Anthony Barr.""

    Sean Lee from Dallas.
Only had .5 sack last year but on this team, with Williams coaching. He's a double digit sack guy.
    Alot of hidden production.... :mad::D

I don't care. I'm pissed off and bitter. He plays for a shitbag franchise that is on the downswing with an overrated pool of diarrhea at QB. The Jets are trying to build something here but if he wants to go back to Minnesota and go back to being the Packers and Bears bitch for the next 5 years, be my guest
