fair enough, they probably wont get much for him. true. If only broadway Sam was a GM, we could trade him "the best coverage LB in the game" and get somethin pretty good for him
HA.... but one thing this team is still lacking is depth, so keeping him around may not be a bad move, seems to complement the "thumpers" they brought in...
Unless they are trading him for another player or a mid round pick, I really don't see the point in trading him.
I definitely think Darron Lee will not be on the roster week 1. one way or another. A trade, waived. something. I understand what you guys are saying about not getting much in return and how cheap he is. I get it. But the reason I feel this way is not so much because of Lee's abilities or the abilities of his soon-to-be replacements in Mosley and Barr, but they went after these 2 linebackers for a reason. A culture change. Especially Mosely. Mosely is a no-nonsense linebacker and a team leader. They wanted that. Darron Lee is an excuse-maker. They obviously want to move away from that. You don't move away from that by keeping him as a part time player, no matter how cheap it is or even if it won't yield much in return. You want to change the culture - you have to change it. I will be very surprised if Lee is a NY Jet on week 1.
lee improved last season but he is not one of the best cover linebackers in the game. he had two great coverage games and the rest was pretty average and lee only has one year left on his contract ... 4 years of a cost controlled draft pick > one year of a player who will rarely see the field
Could you also please tell Falco that Daylight Savings Time started on Sunday March 10Th???? AHAHAHAH
I'd dump Lee for a 4th or 5th if there are any takers. We are not going to give him the 5th year option, so might as well salvage any value we can. He's not a 3 down player. It's time to move on.
The Ravens have lost a ton of players. Perhaps they have room to up their offer and sweet talk him back to Baltimore. Rumor was he never wanted to leave...
Yeah, he's not backing out. If one of Barr or Mosley was going to back out, I'd have preferred it being Mosley. I think Barr would have exploded as a 3-4 OLB in our defense. Oh well. Definitely a **** move by Barr, though.
