Small flakes started here in the Hudson Valley. We could be any where from 3-5 to 5-8 . Don’t think mixing will be an issue. More dependent on strength and speed

 

Many people panicking,,,many,,,,,just look at all your weather apps and sites the #'s are all over the place as far as predictions. Im sticking to what I wrote earlier --LI and South Jersey / the coast might have issues due to storm track,,,,,,,nothing here yet going outside now to play musical cars and see whats doing

Steady snow now. Starting to stick to the grass.

 

Fjay NY City schools closed tomorrow,,we just got the call 2 hour delay that will change they will close-------> alerts going out 2 inch per hour snow rates later= I shit you not !!!!

 

34 here now and deck and grass and cars all white,,only a matter of time

 

Streets and sidewalks starting to get covered. Snow continuing at a moderate pace.

 

Just got the 2 hr delay call here too.

 

Same here. I thought this would be a snow day. Maybe not as severe?

 

They want to see what time it clears out. If it moves out early enough they will have school. Tough call, but I expect a lot of closings

 

they have to clean off the buses and clear the walk ways,,,I think it ends around 6 a .m. but that they will close

 

If it doesn’t end till 6 than 0 chance of school. I say it needs to stop by 4 latest I think.

 

Stupid Heavy bands heading NYC way soon,,,,maybe us also,,hang on kids -----> ps best check those generators

So at first I thought I had 4 inches but I am somewhere between 4 and 6 as I can't get a true measurement. I just went for a walk and its not snowing heavy here but its steady . Looking at the radar it appears that some heavy bands are just South of me , not too far away. I will go out again later if it picks up here,,,,,

 

We have about 4" now, but it's slowing down. It may pick up again.

 

was just out walking the neighborhood = ITS GREAT OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW . So quiet saw 1 car , I was out there for an hour, very peaceful and it looks like a postcard. It appears the City and coastal places DID have mixing issues and busted badly. Maybe it changed back to snow there I don't know but many places = the Jersey shore got rain and others got sleet and rain = LI,,,,so that sux if your a snow lover . Hopefully those areas changed back over to snow so the kids have something to play in tomorrow. I am not sure what time this will stop , looking at the radar it appears the back end might be by ocean City Maryland and it is a fast mover so we shall see. So far my kids have 2 hour delays but there is a lot of snow out there so I think if this goes until 4 as Fjay said I hope they cancel, its after 1 AM now and I think we have at least 2 hours of this left but hopefully its 4 or 5 hours. Left the house at 4. About 4” on the ground . Wet and heavy. Highway crews did a hell of a job keeping things clear. Every road was down to pavement. Kids are going to school.
