Nice start for him. My major question with this Gorton rebuild is when do we turn the corner. That is, when do we stop selling off assets for a kajillion draft picks and start extending expiring contracts, signing free agents, making win-now trades, etc... I know this doesn't fit the blueprint but it would nice if we took back Zuccs after the offseason. Who is left to really be attached to besides Hank? Krieder never really rose to that level How long is this supposed to take?
Somewhere you have to flip all these draft picks for young nhl ready players....they brought up Libor Hajek today, bring up Lindgren now, Shestyorkin's season is almost over and his contract is up
Igor will be HUGE. I know this sounds like a pipe dream but that kid has real Dominik Hasek potential. If he pans out Georgiev is going to get flipped like the Allaire University graduates Cambot and Raanta and we're going to have to ride out the last two $8.5M years on Hank's contract. I hope Hank comes to his senses and lets Gorts trade him to a contender, maybe losing Zukes will be the final push
I think they are playing Gorgie so much to improve his trade value, like Cam Talbot or Raanta....Shesty will be King here, Hank will have to go 50-32 next year with him
He would debut at 23 in the NHL, same as Hank and 2 years before Hasek, and the KHL is much better battle testing preparation than the AHL. He's already been playing against men / big Russian dudes for years now

Each team had an Alexander The Great on the ice today because Alexandar Georgiev was outstanding. He kept the Rangers in it and almost got them the win. Ovechkin beat him in the shootout to get the 3-2 win for the Capitals, but he was outstanding all game. For the second time in a week, I was really impressed with the Rangers effort. Fans should be proud.
man so I guess playoffs are definitely out of the question for this year. Like how they're still playing hard though, they'll still have a few ping pong balls for a shot at Hughes. Better odds than the megamilllions
Draft lottery is tonight, selection time around 8:45 PM Rangers have 6th best odds. For some reason I have a good feeling about them moving up. And yeah, LOL @ Ottawa
