The sleeper thread

Discussion in 'Draft' started by KurtTheJetsFan, Feb 13, 2019.

  1. Post all prospects that are getting overlooked here w a firm eye on the Jets current needs.

  2. Sutton Smith Northern Ilinois

This guy has an unbelievable get off & motor.Looks more like a weakside LB but that apparently was his old position. If he can pack on some weight & play STs he could be a real nice situational pass rusher.

  3. Preston Williams Colorado State

Great route runner, physical, makes big & clutch plays. One of the most well rounded dependable WRs in this class.Hes likely a safe day 2 or early day 3 pick & at his size offers plenty of upside

  4. Andre Dillard Wizzou

Hes not totally unknown at this stage but havent seen him mentioned much here on at TGG.

He was a very effective pass protector for a pass heavy team.He has good balance, decent feet & a good natural base. He benefitted from very wide splits that eliminated the need to be out in open space in his sets..so that does bare watching.Hard to gauge his agility/flexibility given this fact but he did perform well at senior Bowl.Wasnt asked to run block much.

    I hate this thread.

I've never seen Williams play, I see the size speed hands route running and now I REALLY want this guy and what are the odds?

    Goddamit.

Preston Williams has an assault charge against a woman which likely means he is off the Jets board.

Shame too cause he looks very good and will probably be a steal for some team other than Jets in 3rd round or later.

    Cody Thompson, Toledo

He can be a threat deep and in the slot. Looks like he has YAC ability.

    KeeSean Johnson, WR, Fresno State

Has good hands, is physical, and fights for every yard.

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown. This WR class is very underrated.

Can we please get either Brown or Deebo Samuel!?

This draft is loaded with WR talent in all shapes and sizes.

Here's a Hollywood Brown-like little YAC freak: Penny Hart, Georgia State:

    .

  11. Thanks for mentioning Thompson.Hes been on my watch list for awhile.

I had mixed feelings from what i saw in Johnson. Hes physical, good after the catch to your point but his ability to separate seems iffy & there were acouple contested balls i wouldve liked to have seen him reel in for big plays. To be fair his QB play seemed awful & i did come away wanting to see more.

  12. Keeping the WR party going!

Keelan Doss WR from Ken Obrien’s alma mater UC Irvine

Great size, fluid & physical..fantastic possession skills w guys draped all over him albeit lower level competition. Had a good week at senior bowl.

  13. Jamarius Way Southern Alabama

Big,physical, fluid & decent after the catch

  14. Stanely Morgan Jr Nebraska

Reminds me alot of Enunwa when he was coming out. Perhaps alil better equipped for the boundary rather than slot/hybrid & not quite the match up nightmare. But he is tough as nails & knows how to get open in big spots

Elijah Holyfield - Georgia Running Back has loads of talent. He will follow in the footsteps of Gurley, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, all recent Georgia running backs to be good in the NFL

Anthony Johnson, University of Buffalo Wide Receiver. Very polished. Catches everything thrown his way. He reminds me of another MAC WR... Antonio Brown

    Josh Oliver, San Jose State

Big, physical TE who can run different routes. Can get separation and is a competent blocker.

  18. Donald Parham TE Stetson U.

6'9 move tight end, lines up all over the place, gets separation,Uses his height to high point the ball & has acceleration after the catch. Had a very good week at the senior Bowl.

  19. Issac Nauta TE UGA

Former high profile 5 Star recruit. Built more like an H-back. Nasty blocker, good catching radius, some vertical ability down the seam & good hands. Doesn't get great separation..might be a better fit at H-back

  20. Myles Gaskins RB Washington

Pretty good all around back w.some nice quickness to the hole
