Look, I get you hate the hire AND the Gase hire and, quite frankly I don't love the Loggains hire but I am willing to understand why Gase did it--even though you are not.

But the headline of that article is ass when reading the content of it.

  2. So we know hes horrible at one thing that hes not going to be doing here...whats there to be upset about?

Brian urlacher started his career at OLB & players said he was the worst theyd ever seen.I guess he was bound to suck at Middle linebacker too.

Classroom, gameplanning, film study, situational, player relations, one on one coaching, player development..Who knows what this guy’s skill set is or what his role will be?

Do we get mad bc Alex sucked at Axe & Eddie sucked behind the kit before they swapped gigs & became Van F’NG Halen?!

Dudes are just looking for reasons to shit on everything Jets related.

@BroadwaySam bitched and moaned that we were so fucked because we wouldn't extend Boyer (we did) then bitched and moaned that we were so fucked because we wouldn't sign Williams (we did).

He needs to be right about some of his bitching and moaning.

So playcalling and personnel choices have nothing to do with QB development now?

I trust Gase with QBs so I don’t even worry THAT much about Loggains and Sam but if Gase is listening to the guy who preferred Jordan Howard to Tarik Cohen and Frank Gore to Kenyon Drake, there’s enough of a red flag to warrant skepticism.

This is just more unfounded bitching and moaning.

Gase said himself HE is going to be developing Sam and making ALL the play calls.

The OC is just there to bounce ideas off of.

Loggains is not going to be deciding whether Robbie is only in for 13 snaps, for example.

For someone who doesn’t like bitching and moaning, you sure do a lot of it.

Loggains is not making ANY play calls and is not going to be in charge of on-field personnel.

Or did you just decide it was more expedient to ignore what Gase has been saying about what he envisions an OC to be? Just so you could bitch and moan about it?

I enjoy bitching and moaning about posters who constantly over-the-top bitch and moan.

I don't bitch about the Jets hires.

Everyone needs to take a breath and relax. Whether he can call a good game or not is irrelevant as Gase will handle Jets play calling. However, before you're so ready to attack this guy, you might want to consider that its fairly obvious that neither Gase nor his offensive coaching staff had much confidence in Tannehill. This is obvious because Gase wanted to cut ties with Tannehill after the season and he was fired, at least partially, because the owner didn't want to. A lot of their "bad play calls" were in fact very conservative calls you'd make if you don't have any confidence in your QB. Do you think those were the play calls they were making with Payton Manning in Denver?

Yeah, also fans can't have it both ways. They want Adam Gase to develop Darnold and the offense, but then also want an experienced OC with his own ideas to run the offense? No need to over-complicate things for Sam and the young players. This hire shows me that Gase will be running the offense, as we all expected and already know, so I don't see why anyone would be upset with the hire. Gase is truly the OC the Jets hired.

What Gase is envisioning the Jets OC to be is what he envisioned the Miami OC to be. With him being the head coach and Loggains being the OC in Miami, they had the 31st ranked offense, ran with Gore over Drake and made a number of headscratching play calls that you can find if you do any research whatsoever on what the problems were in Miami offensively. That's what I'm saying. You're acting like there is 0 precedent here for what a Gase/Loggains pairing means. There is. It exists. A little bit of effort yields a bunch of info.

The article that you just started your latest bitchfest and that I said was ass was about the Bears.

Or just have a no-name OC not named Loggains. Or make Pollack the OC. Or McCown. Or the waterboy. Or @The Waterboy. Any of them would be better than Loggains.

More whining from you. It’s getting annoying. And to think, it could all be solved with just a little bit of effort.

No shit what I posted was about the Bears. Does that mean no other parts of his career exist? In other threads I’ve posted the pre and post Loggains numbers. You know how awful Miami was. You’re just being difficult for fun. Or what you consider fun I guess.

His first choice may have been Jeremy Bates, but he could not be contacted due to lack of cell reception in the mountains he is currently climbing.

Lol the constant whining from you cannot be covered over by you trying to turn the tables.

You whine and bitch and moan about everything.

I said I don't love the hire, just that the article you posted was ass--all headline and no substance.

    1. You whine and bitch about me in responses to post that have nothing to do with me. If anyone is trying to turn tables, it’s you.

    2. I don’t whine and bitch and moan about everything. Less than a year ago I was labeled a homer here. Love the Williams hire. Think the world of Sam. Love where we’re at as a franchise in terms of assets and cash. It’s almost like you’re just whining because someone disagrees with you and you don’t like the facts that support it.

    3. The article I posted had plenty of solid arguments in them, unless you somehow think personnel decisions and playcalling have no effect on the development of a young QB. But no one is dumb enough to think that.

The article had ONE nugget about Cohen not being on the field.

There was no substance to it. I guess you like big headlines in bold 24 set type font.

He's not a good OC but that article that you presented as some sort of proof as to why Loggains is wrong for Sam was ass.
