Come on, it isn't that big a deal. Nobody outside this forum will remember the press conference until the season opener. Then some wise guys will bring it up again, but if Gase starts winning it'll become endearing. If he's terrible he'll get made fun of, but then he has bigger problems than memes.

In all fairness, there are some people with ticks or feel uncomfortable in front of an audience. Like people who smile when they're upset or have certain disorders like tourettes, asperger's etc....

Funny part was him talking over Gase trying to show that he remembered after that... Then he kept doing it and didn't even let Coleman get in there. That guy comes across as a fukin nub so many times. lmao
Definitely better than the press conference. I even think the eyes recede a bit but he looks like he's afraid Kay is going to pounce on him like a lion on an antelope. Now just pick the right coaches.
Yes, he might have one of those issues. Some Phin fans speculated that he might be on the spectrum based on some of the things that they’d seen. Might be a bit of a stretch, or maybe not. I think his crazy eyes are just that...a little crazy, but it’s no big deal as long as he starts winning. I also suspect that we won’t see them quite as much going forward because the guy will probably wear a hat and or shades every single day.
Thanks for the link. He sounded much more human but he also looks really tightly wound. Watch his hands during the interview especially when answering questions about being arrogant. If I am a player I do not want to piss that guy off. Which could be really good or really bad depending on the player. I did like his emphasis on work ethic and his candidness. I was not a fan of Gase but I am getting excited about his effect on Darnold and the possibilities for next year. It should be an exciting off season and season. Hopefully, we will get news on coaches soon.

True. And at the end of the day, who gives a crap about the press conference. If introductory press conferences mattered, Fat Rex would be a hall of famer since he promised like 5 Super Bowls or whatever - ——— Gase though, got tossed such an easy softball and he whiffed. They asked him why he wanted to coach the Jets. About the easiest question he will ever get from now on. All he had to do was brag up the Jets and their fans a little... Instead he mumbled on about how he used to coach the dolphins so he’s familiar with the division and struggled with eye contact and finished talking about scouting or something......like what? It gave the impression that he wanted to coach the Jets because that was the only team that wanted HIM. - which might be true lol, but an NFL head coach should be street smart enough to not ever give that impression
Well said. The only people that are paying attention to this press conference or even are the die hards. The press conference did not matter. But what I got from this press conference is that Gase is a football coach that is all he does and all he knows. He doesn't know how to handle the press and probably does not care. He just wants to get to work. He wants a staff and wants to get to work. I am happy with that. Let's get our coordinators and fill out the staff and start worrying about FA and the draft. I am getting really excited about FA and the draft.
Exactly my thoughts..Gase is from Michigan and I swear he busted out of the Psych Ward at Yipsilanti SOJS bringing this town..the new Face of the franchise..Lurch on a bad day Adams will tell him "welcome to the family..you know Morticia and Gomez are distant relatives and they are dying to meet cha"
this bothered me most..... EVERY YEAR IS A PLAYOFF MANDATE. IF THE TEAM ISN'T SUCCESSSFUL THEN REEVALUATE YOUR PERSONNEL AND MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES. IT DOESNT MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO FIRE PEOPLE ONLY BASED ON IF YOU MAKE THE POST SEASON OR NOT. same old jets.
