that was a spot of luck. Maybe he should go back to the Lions game tape after his first throw and see what he was doing differently.
Wow, they left the back in to protect and Sam on 3rd & Long, and he was able to roll out and make the perfect throw... Who'd have thought?
Well the only way the analogy makes sense is for Hunt to be their best player since he is not you can't use the analogy. You can't fudge things around to make an analogy work...LOL. Mahomes is by far their best player and might be in the conversation for the best player in the NFL. The whole reason they did not hesitate to dump Hunt is because he was their 2nd, 3rd/4th whatever best player.
I get that time's have changed, but does anybody remember watching Parcells on the sideline address his QB coming off the field if they threw an int that bad? The ass-chewing that would take place would've put the fear in them to not do it again.
Darnold will always throw it to the other side even when/if he reaches his full potential. It's just part of who he is.
It increases the chances for failure, and removes the chances for getting pass interference and defensive holding calls. 20 play drives are great when they are successful, but when your team's offensive philosophy is that, you are doomed, because somewhere along the line you are going to get hit with offensive holding calls, formation calls, interceptions and fumbles.
