Did I say ruined or ruining? What does it say, genius? Why are you always so dramatic?

And losing absolutely is a mindset. You are the one who argued otherwise. THATs excusemaking

They wrapped a boot on his foot so they didn’t have to tell him he wasn’t cutting it.

If you think that’s not a losers mentality and ruining a professional QB then shit idk what to tell ya

At LSU coach Ed Orgeron has themes for every practice day to keep the team focused and build a winning mentality.

There’s “Tell the Truth Monday”, “No repeat thursdays”, “focus Friday”..etc.

It’s no coincidence that the only guy we have on this whole team that we can all acknowledge wants to win, Jamal Adams, came out of that at LSU. And the sad part is, when he tells the truth on Monday’s, as he has done on multiple occasions this year, he gets scolded for it.

This team points fingers and milks injuries and gives up in Sunday’s. Last week they made up an injury for their rookie QB because they didn’t want to hurt feelings.

And I’m wrong for saying they have a losers mentality SMH

    Losing is a mindset.

You learn it, you accept it, you become a loser.

How about Peyton Manning? 3-13 in his rookie season, never recovered after that.

We can do this until opening day of TC in 2019 and still be on different sides of the fence. Now I could be wrong but isn't the idea NOT to get Sam hurt at all? There's nothing more to gain from playing in 2018. No need to cram in snaps just for the sake of increased snap counts. Sam has 2019 and beyond to both aquire experience and work with better personnel than what's available now. I would like to think the team's long term interest is in keeping Sam healthy and letting him develop his NFL identity. He's already played 9 complete games so far so yeah, you can count 2018 in the books for experience. No need to rush the kid. The healthier Sam stays, the longer he plays and the more experience he'll obtain. I'm a firm believer in erring on the side of caution. We will have to agree to disagree. Lets see what the CS decides.

Besides, we're paying McClown $10m to be a backup/QB coach. Let Josh and Webb play out the string and aloing with the rest of the roster, do a full hard eval at the end of the season not to mention the top 10 DP. The rest of the season is just extended garbage time.

See, this is what I can't agree to disagree on.

It's not just snaps for the sake of increased snap counts. It never was.

It's real in game experience against real NFL defenses and schemes and further developing a feel for the speed of the game.

You pull him now and next year he starts at ground zero again. Give him 5-6 more games and that will do him 1000X more benefit than sitting and watching.

Keeping Sam in bubble wrap now doesn't prevent him from getting injured on the first play of 2019. If you're afraid to play your players then just hand it up and find a new vocation.

Like everything else in life, very little is clearly black and white, but often has pros/cons and shades of gray. Playing Sam the rest of this year could damage him physically or mentally or it could help him. NONE of us knows the correct answer, or even if there is a correct answer. Playing him could both help and hurt as could sitting him. He's only 21, so there is no need to rush him or things and try to force it to happen. I, too, tend to err on the side of caution. Eventually, I do think caution needs to be cast aside, but I don't think we're at that point yet. Players often develop bad habits or get hurt when they're trying too hard, trying to do too much to compensate for the lack of contributions from other players or for poor play calling or game plans. I think that's where the Jets and Sam are at this point. Now maybe if Bowles and Bates somehow miraculously pull their heads out of their asses during the BYE week and make major changes, then it might be beneficial to play Sam again once he's 100%. Unless or until, that happens, he should sit imo.

Someone stated that Sam is already starting to bail early on passing plays. If true, that isn't good, and could easily turn into a bad habit that could be hard to break once we do get a good OL. Sam may not be getting sacked/pounded like David Carr did, but that doesn't matter. What matters is how the pressure and hits that he is taking affects Sam, especially after being pressured and hit a lot last season at USC. To truly learn, Sam needs to be relaxed and confident, and at this point, he could have lost confidence in his CS and in the players around him on offense, and maybe even lost a little confidence in himself. Some of the defensive players could have lost confidence in Sam. I think that a lot of negative or damage could possibly happen to Sam and the team if he plays again and nothing has changed with the Jets. Then next season with a real HC, OC and QB Coach, a better OL, and some weapons around him, he really begin to flourish.

Trubisky fake injury now out for tomorrow's game.

    Gutless loser right there.

Losing--It's something he learned last year and is just now just accepting.

NFL teams do this routinely to protect young QBs--fake an injury rather than sitting them.

Piece of shit Anderson probably quitting and doesn’t want to play.

Because he’s looking for a huge FA contract this offseason.

So he’s going to fake his injury.

    Because that makes sense.

If you want a huge FA contract this offseason.

Another loser that learned to accept losing.

Whilst trying to get a huge FA contract this offseason.

He already has 9 games under his belt with 3 victories so he won't be starting over by any stretch. Throw in 6 games as a student and he comes back in 2019 in much better position. Now I can't say if watching McClown for 6 games will help OR if studying Bates' game plans over the last 6 would be helpful either.
From all indications though, 2019 will be the year 2018 was supposed to be. Especially there's change at the end of 2018 as we all expect.
