did you see cutler play this sunday night? denver is all done with him at QB -- SD will blitz him silly -- be surprised if Denver wins 1 game in the last 4
right.....I was just giving the proper scenario to when they can have control, don't jump on me I know they don't have it yet.
KS & Bengals & Jax play 4 conference teams. Jets play 3 Conference teams & 1 non-conference team. Cincy-5-3 best possible scenario *9-3 conference* Jets-5-4 best possible scenario *8-4 conference* Jax-4-4 best possible scenario *8-4 conference* KC-3-5 best possible scenario *7-5 conference* Each team "COULD" finish at 11-5. So it is still possible to finish 11-5, and still not earn a wild card spot. Hypothetical... If Cincy, Jax, and Da'Jets all finish out the year flawless at 11-5.. What is the next step to determine that final WC spot between Jax, and Jets? I am not to knowleged with this certain aspect of the game.
All 3 would be tied with 8 wins in conference. So we go to COmmon games, but you need 4 which there are not enough. Then is strength of victory. # wins by teams you beat. Right now, we're behind big in that, but that's hard to lay out right now. Right now, the only win out scenarios possible are KC or JAX (KC plays JAX) Denver or Cincy (DEN plays Cincy) Jets KC/Cincy/Jets = Cincy/Jets go (Cincy 4 conference losses, Jets 4, KC 5) KC/Denver/Jets = Denver/Jets go (KC/Denver break tie in division first) JAX/Denver/Jets = Denver (3 conference losses, Jets/Jax 4) and JAX (beat Jets) go JAX/Cincy/Jets = All 3 have 4 conference losses, so go by strength of victory since there are not enough common opponents (NE/Indy only)
Thank you very much. I forgot about Denver being in the hunt, so that is what really through me off. Appricated..
If the Jets win out, they will not only likely be in the playoffs, everyone will know about them. Im most worried about Buffalo and Miami, so this week is obviously a pretty big game, imo
EVERY week is a big game for the jets when they are in a 5 way tie for 2 playoff spots. Any team can lose on any given sunday so anybody who is penciling in wins and losses for the jets or other teams dont know whats what. Anything can happen and any team can go hot and win out or go cold and lose a couple. Lets just hope the jets continue to play good football and win games..
I highly doubt that the Colts are going into Jacksonville in stomping mode next weekend, although I'll be pleasantly surprised if it happens. Right now Jacksonville is playing better than the Colts and they'll have the homefield advantage. Indy seems to go into a shell in December every year. Not quite sure why.
The Colts are just going to lose homefield just like that come on. After that lost they'll regroup and beat Jacksonville by 10+.
No thats actually wrong. In a 3 way tie or greater, head to head is still first. However, it is not used unless one team has beaten both teams or one team has lost to both teams. If this has not happened then it moves on to conference scheduele
The spoilers in this playoff race are going to be the Oakland Raiders! Ok Stop laughing. Its true. They play 3 of the 5 teams with 7-5 records in the final 4 games (KC, Cin, and NYJ). They may appear to be an easy win for each team, but I don't think so. The Raiders have outplayed their opposition in all of their last 4 games, but shot themselves in the foot late in each game (They were winning or tied at halftime in all 4 games). I would be shocked if they don't win 1 of those 3 games. I just hope its not the Jets.
I agree with your premise, but they didn't outplay SD. They played them real tight, but not outplay. However, you are dead right, they are not an easy out. I'm worried about all 4 opponents. We're not such a strong team to overlook opponents.
They totally outplayed SD. SD had no offence at all in the first 3 quarters. (only TD set up by a huge kick return) They should have been up 17-0 after 3 quarters (missed 36 yard FG). SD got very lucky. Either way they will be tough.
Watched the ENTIRE game (have LT in fantasy, or had I should say since I Missed the playoffs). Neither team played well.. Neither team outplayed the other.
