In all fairness he is not the only one,,,,,,,there were a few guys who were posting non stop all day long that have suddenly gone AWOL its funny how that happens huh ? Can someone please repost all those posts about how improved our O line was going to be? maybe I will start a thread about that and repost those posts that are now downright comical. There were a few guys not just DWC that were breaking down the line by position and explaining to us how good it would be and how surprised many of us at least myself would be. Pop corn in hand and reading all this ,,,, sadly we are a train wreck "AGAIN "
Not if the coaching staff hasn't un Yeah, quite a few have gone walkabout since the wheels have started to come off. Whatever happened to all those guys who were touting Bates as the best thing since leather helmets?
This, pretty much. Until the Jets can stop a 3-4 man rush, we won’t score any points until garbage time.
I haven't watched Denver play yet this year, so I'll wait until I see them tonight before making any predictions. I'd imagine a closer game (similar to Miami). Hopefully we can score a few points before the outcome is already decided, but to be honest, at this point, I am already in for the tank. I want the #1 pick. My brain knew it would be bad, but my heart wasn't ready. it is now.
I'm with you, these last three games have me completely demoralized about the direction of the team in general. Its not only do we lack talent in some areas, but we appear to lack talent in most facets of the game as well as being lead by a head coach who does not know and seems to not care about how to turn it around. Its time to get out the broom and clean house.
Tell me a more Jets-y way to start a season. Dominate the 1st game to get everyone hopes up, that we've turned the corner as a franchise, we have a FQB in Darnold........only to RIP the rug from underneath you by looking completely inept in all facets of the games. We've even out-Browns-ed the Browns for Gods sake! I personally have already written this season off, with MAYBE winning 1 more game (splitting with the Bills)
This is exactly it. I predicted 4-12, total rebuild, but hopeful we'd show promise. Then we destroy the Lions. obviously we won't score ST and Defensive touchdowns each week, but if the offense can play decent and we force turnovers, we could steal some wins and sneak into the playoffs. Then we look horrible at home, the Browns was a loss the whole way, I've never seen more time spent on a beer fridge in my life. yesterday was more of the same. It is not going to get better, luckily we are a month past our huge opener. We're all ready now.
Teams may be completing a high percentage of passes against the Broncos, but they also have better O-Lines than the Jets. Tell me how this O-Line is going to handle Von Miller and Co.? We are not going to be able to get Sam in a groove I fear because of Bates' playcalling, if he were smart (he is not) he would scheme quick 3-step drops and hits to the TE's (whom?) and Enunwa (they will jam him up knowing this is where we are going). Sam does not appear to have the mental fortitude yet to be able to go through 2-3 reads quickly against an imposing pass rush and move the chains steadily. Sadly I see Broncos 24 Jets 13
Okay, the Jets have to win this game now, right? 1. Short week for Denver. 2. Flying across country. 3. Just lost a devastating game to the Chiefs when they were up 10 in the 4th Quarter. The Jets need to capitalize on all of this and win the game. Perhaps in impressive fashion. A loss or a poor showing and Bowles could be fired by 4:00 Sunday.
If our offense continues to look as inept as it has the past 6 quarters, then Bates needs to takes hike and not come back.
The "good news" is that the Jets hold the Broncos offense to 17 points. The "bad news" is that the Broncos defense scores 17 points off the Jets offense, and hold that offense to 2 FGs. Final: Broncos 34 Jets 6. Worse news: Darnold gets knocked out of the game, and goes on concussion protocol. Worst news: Bowles isn't fired.
50/50? Is that a chance Sam finishes the game without injury? Trust me. Von Miller and Chubb are already licking their chops against this turnstile the Jets call OL.
Broncos aren't great but unlike us...they're competent. But yea Miller and Chubb is a major concern. At least Sam has pocket awareness unlike Sanchez and The Genotard. I don't think this oline should be as bad as its shown. It's not totally devoid of talent. Still Sam deserves better
I hear Mark Sanchez is still available. I think he's the perfect fit to take over this legendary Jets offense and take them to the promised land. For all his crimes, I am more than willing to forgive MacCagnan if he signs Mark Sanchez and make him the starter for the season.
