I gave up on this team before the season. It was suppose to be a rebuilding year with a new QB so I was prepared to win 5-8 games. I will never accept a shitty, uninspired, lack of discipline effort with shitty game management. that's not about talent, that's about a lousy culture and coaching. Don't lecture me pal, did you sit through 32 Rich Kotite coached games? Did you? Did you watch Joe Walton pick his nose? Did you watch Bruce Coslet, Peter Caroll coached teams while it was raining or snowing or 5 degrees and ask yourself what are you doing wasting your day, your week, blowing off family shit for this crap? Well guess what, I did but not anymore. go ahead, go to every game and wave your Jet flag. Bless you, been there done that.. DONE WITH THIS SHIT.
What is amazing is that this team still HAS a fan base... Year after Year, fans still show up, buy the tickets and the swag, and hope that for once this team actually lives up to its potential. Outside of a precious few games, that never happens. I could go on listing all the things that suck about the Jets but my time is more valuable than that so, I'll leave you with this... If blind faith and optimism is your thing, fine. Don't criticize long time fans for not buying into the rah rah BS the PR dept and new part time owner/superfan is selling. There is zero hope this season turns around but the reality is it never was about winning this season. This was the Sam Darnold burn in year and that's exactly what's on the field. Sam running for his life behind a No-Pro oline trying to hit serviceable receivers following shit gameplans generated by an OC that still hasn't come back from his sabbatical.
When a team is 1-3 and looked awful in its latest loss, they deserve to be booed at home. The best way to stop the booing is to play better and maybe win a game.
Maybe you misunderstood my response. I am not giving up on the team. I never boo. I don't think this fanbase is "giving up on the team". I don't think there are going to be more than a few dozen a-holes fans that are going to boo right off the bat. We don't need anyone to tell us not to boo--this "garbage fanbase" has been through a ton of shit over the years and have stuck by, so save your whiny thread. It's ass, pure and simple.
Again you have this backwards. The fans who are booing aren't giving up on the team in week 5. The fans who are booing are the fans who have totally committed to this team, some for over 5 decades. They are the reason there still is a NY Jets franchise that's worth close to 3 billion dollars despite the product that management is putting on the field. The vast majority of the fans that are booing have eaten enough overpriced food, drank enough overpriced beer and bought enough overpriced, official NFL Jersey's to allow this franchise to continue. It's not a coincidence that the money to buy the Jets came from J&J. J&J has been a world leader in the development of anti-depression drugs.

I can't bring myself to watch any more Chiefs games. Seeing Mahomes actually do what I thought he would do is too painful. Yeah, I know, he wouldn't likely be doing that well with Bowles & Co. but he'd still be doing well, AND we might've since been able to get our elite pass rusher and some OL help.
Sorry I didn't mean to come off so harshly. Like everyone else here, I want Bowles gone and if we find a better GM/coach combo, I have no qualms about getting rid of Mac too. I just think we should enjoy this weekend as for the past 7 years the seasons have ended far too early. This year is probably going to suffer the same fate too, but whats different is we got the QB. Boo or not, lets make some noise in that stadium this weekend as I feel its been like a year since theyve actually played at home.
