Yeah, they could have put 50+ on the Lions. They could have rubbed the Lions noses in the dirt but they didn't. There would have been no point to it other than to embarrass the Lions in front of their fanbase who btw, have been suffering longer than we have.

To me, that's a sign of a young team maturing. That and the low penalty count tonite shows they're not the thickheaded crew they used to be.

Kudos to Bowles and the CS for not running up the score. This isn't college football. Sometimes restraint can be a great teacher as much as an ego fulfilling demolition of your opponent. Now if it were the Patriots, sure go for it as they've done to us many times in the past.

The Jets showing Class and Maturity! Who would have thunk it!!! :)

True, but I think Darnold’s last throw was a little message to the ex-Patriot douchebag on the other side line - we could run the score up on your ass, but we won’t. And we remember. Let’s hope we get the same opportunity with New England

Pretty soon, Francesa is going to call Woody, "Mister Johnson," and his team,

We may have legitimately scored 60+ but Bowles took his foot his off the gas. I'm glad he did. I don't like it when people do it do us and I don't need to do it to others.

Would Belichick have done it? Yea he would. But it's a no class garbage move.

I really don't recall seeing before a player being as much of a mentor as McCown has been to Darnold. It's obvious that the Darnold family really does view him as part of the family.

And yeah, that was fun for us, too.

This is a very good point. The Jets taking a knee on the goal line was a classy thing to do.

Hes getting paid 10 million dollars to be a mentor so he better be pretty damn good.

But in all seriousness I'm so glad he's Darnolds mentor instead of some doofus like Bradford.

McCown may be the best QB coach we've had in a long time and he's still wearing a uniform.

    Agree

Wiping your ass with a football is both mature and classy.

Well, what did you expect from this team...Consistency? The potential is obviously there however, until they get a HC and CS that instills discipline into their thick skulls, you're gonna get the routine stupidity with the occasional burst of maturity. Kinda like raising kids.
