Darnold's agent probably just pissed himself and then laughed menacingly.

I knew the deal would be over 30m a season but 33.5? Good for AR.

He deserves every penny. Hopefully the Packers don't F it all up and can get this guy some talent to play with.

Good for Rodgers, but I think that team is mired in mediocrity. I just don't see them getting over the hump. Will they win a bunch of games and make the playoffs, very likely, but I don't think they will compete for a title.

And while I think Rodgers is one of the great ones, it is funny how similar his career is to Favre. 1 superbowl relatively early in the career, and then nothing else. At least Favre made back to back. Rodgers has only played in 1 superbowl. Will be interesting to see what his final legacy ends up being. Is he one of the best all time?

I wonder if he sends the thank you card to Cousins for betting on himself or to Washington's GM for fucking up those negotiations so much he let a Starting QB hit the open market.

Are you suggesting he can’t afford to send them both cards?

Just mind boggling and down right head scratching. 33.5 Million dollars per year? That's down right outrageous to me.

I mean think about it the U.S President once you combine their anual salary of $400k per year, an extra allowance of $50k per year, $100k in non-taxable travel account along with $19,000 in Entertainment expenses and they aren't even sniffing 1M per year let alone $33.5M. Not even a Surgeon - Orthopedic with a PhD Degree can usually not sniff even $1M per year despite working on hearts, removing brain cancer etc and saving lives but yet these athlete's are now paid like God's.

It won't be too much longer before we see a QB getting $50M per year ala $3M+ per ball game hah I give it less than 10 years before it happens.

You would think these QB's would take a little less to leave some more cash for the rest of the team. With many of them eating so much of the salary cap, is it any wonder that the reat of the team is lacking? Besides Brady being one of the greatest of all time, his consistently taking less than market value has certainly helped the Patriots remain on top for so long.

I supposed he could play it both ways if he wants to be all disingenuous about it. :D
