the jets are so bad with depth and you want to carry 3 qbs? get real man. it wasn't worth the gamble sitting there hoping somebody gets hurt. what if no qb injuries happen before wk 8? dumb gamble.
A 3rd rounder for a 1 year rental going to a team far removed from the AFCe?Sign me up How bout a 1st & one of 3rds for Mack OR The 1st both 3rds & either the raiders 1st or a 2nd back? Im on the fence leaning toward no but would at least consider it
Can't believe , for my logic, why the Jets are so confident in playing a 20yo QB with a 39 year old back up. Just wondering if this is unprecedented in the NFL? With a horrendous OL no less? Only the Jets would pull a stunt like this.
Are you trying to convince yourself at this point that the Jets made a bad move or everyone else? The over-exaggeration leads me to believe you’re still selling yourself on having something to be miserable about.
A 39 year old back up to a 20 yo that has never played fu%king down in the NFL? And with that OL, how long before you think the 39yo will be coming in a taking snaps? I get about 3 games. You get real. This is the NFL where big 6.2" 290LB beasts live to pull the heads off of QBS and spit down their necks -- dumb gamble? That's funny.... Simply getting hurt? I'm on the floor lmao
you need to wake up and look at this league. garbage like Bortles and Goff had great years, it's like the NFL flipped a switch. this is not a coincidence man. rookie qbs can come in this league and blow up now. the thing you worry about is injuries, not blown potential. this is the age where Case fking Keenum can have a year. this is the perfect time to start him. get up off the floor and don't forget your brain.
Reality will set in for once you see that Darnold is laying flat on his back writhing in pain, and McCown is walking on the field.
Let’s take it easy; this was neither a great or horrible move. It will depend on what happens with the pick we got. It was obvious Bridgewater wasn’t going to play here. On the other hand, if this is the O line we’re going into the season with, Darnold is getting injured. Count on it. So let’s hold off on canonizing Mac Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You are fu&king dense man --- look at those teams OL's. ...omg -- has nothing to do with potential or ability..... Man just keep smoking that shit - have a nice day.
Hey all I can say to this madness is that I hope I am wrong and that Darnold survives the beatings and bruises he's going to face in his first season as a starter and lasts the 16 games. But if I'm right, I am going to post nice big fat f*cking thread with the title " I TOLD YOU SO"
at that point the season is a wash anyway. If you want Sam to start & are being realistic we arent gonna be winning a whole lot of games. The last thing on anyone’s mind if Sam went down would be teddy bridgewater. This is still about 2019..Bridgewater was only here for 1 year regardless. A 3rd rounder for a back up QB w health risks on a 1 year who was here for only 3 preseason games is a great win for a team still rebuilding & in need of day 2 draft picks
Per Manish on tweeter it is a 3rd Manish MehtaVerified account @MMehtaNYDN 2h2 hours ago A part of the Jets-Saints trade for Teddy Bridgewater includes NYJ getting a third-round pick, per sources. There is another element to the deal though.
I don't think anybody was praising the Geno Smith pick as if it was franchise changing. They just thought it was good value in the 2nd round and hoped he might emerge in a few years. As a prospect Darnold is light years ahead of where both Smith and Sanchez were ranked.
