Makes a ton of sense.But how often does a rumor like this get highly publicized & then actually occur in the NFL? If anything it might be a leak from the Jets to leverage some other deal for a pass rusher.
I will happily eat the massive mound of shit if we can trade Teddy for Fowler. I just don’t see that happening considering Fowler is a top tier pass rusher and they have a QB under contract for three years and a pretty good chunk of change.
With Blake Bortles at QB, this could be a landing spot for Teddy at least as a backup. I'm concerned about this guy's off the field stuff. They need a pass rusher badly, but don't want it to be a guy that'd be bad for the locker room
I wouldn’t disagree with him but they have to be willing to either lose Teddy in a year or eat a ton of money.

Fowler isn’t a top tier pass rusher,if he was they would have picked up his option. He is better than we have and could be really good but he hasn’t been yet. Teddy for Fowler just makes too much sense.
He is A pass rusher, which is more than we have lol. I think he would be a fair return for Teddy, it just makes no sense on their end because of how much they have invested in Bortles. Whether that was smart or not is another story. Maybe they are watching him in camp and are just so disappointed with lack of progress and want to move on, but that would surprise me. And if its for backup purposes (Teddy) then trading a starting pass rusher would be nuts.
Talent wise he is top tier..performance wise hes upper tier. Plenty of upside & no doubt can strike fear into opposing offenses
