A few tidbits I'll be watching for ... 1, will Mauldin bounce back and maybe make this team, or is he a goner ... 2, how will Herndon, Cannon, and Shepherd look in their first game action. 3, some dude named Dornald. 4, has Buster learned anything since last year ? 5, looking for big things from JJ WIlcox after coming up big in "every practice" so far ... 6, can Teddy actually be valuable trade bait. 7, will Me Lee finally show up and put his money where his mouth is ?? GO JETS !
I'll be looking at the systems on both sides of the ball. I'll be paying particular attention to the zone blocking scheme being installed for the first time. Secondly, I'll be looking at how Bates intends to call a game. Is he gonna be all run, then all pass ala Gailey? Or will he call a more flexible, less predictable game. On defense, I want to see stops on 3rd down. I want to see our D actually get off the damn field and perhaps play fewer minutes in most games. I've always thought our defense was on the field far too long last year.

Gonna re-watch the game later because I was really busy and only caught it in bits and pieces. It was really fun seeing our Jets suited up for the first time (it's always a rush of adrenaline), woooo, bring it. Saw Brook! on TV doing the Jets chant, that was a treat. "G-O-A-T-S! GOATS, GOATS, GOATS!" Jesus buddy, get it right and assimilate already.
