Teams contacting Jets about trading for Petty

Go go go go go. At least with Hackenberg, there's a question mark as to whether he can play in the NFL. We know Petty can't.

 

If this were true, teams would be calling the Jets about Hack. Sure doesn't sound like it.

 

I dont believe this. I think it is being leaked by either the Jets or Petty's agent to drum up interest

 

There's no tape.

Teams may feel Petty was in the wrong scheme and have enough tape to justify a draft pick.

Edit: If Bridgewater is too injured to go, can't the Jets just go with McCown, Darnold, and Hackenberg? I mean, Hack should know how to run the scout team by now.

They are completely independent. My opinion is that Petty doesn't belong in the NFL, that doesn't mean other teams share that opinion.

 

Petty nets us about a 6th rounder. I’m game oline depth.

 

As a New York Jet who gave 110% of himself, got slaughtered behind a god-awful crew of Olineman that gave up, who smiled while being served a shit sandwich, worked his ass off, was humble and wasn’t a POS punk that got punched in the face over change found under the sofa cushion. He wore the Jet uniform proudly and never embarrassed himself or the franchise.

So he wasn’t the answer at QB.

Petty may never be a good or even servicable NFL QB.

But Hack is done. Nice kid but I don't think he'll ever start an NFL game.

 

If McCown gets hurt, throw Tankenburg out there, fire Bowles in week 14, get another top 5 pick, trade down for a stable of picks, hire a new staff ASAP, re-stock the 0-line and get an edge rusher.
