yeah it's a pretty long list. off the top of my head a throat slash gesture after the opposing team missed a FG annoying the other teams WRS during warm ups instead of warming up hitting an opposing player in the head with the ball during warm ups on purpose carrying a sign that said "pretenders" on it to a game wearing a shirt that said "Traitor" to the game when facing his old team
I don't think they will boo. From most polls I've seen Jets fans are split between Rosen and Mayfield, with a slight edge to Rosen. I think the fanbase overall would be okay with either QB. If the pick is ALLEN, however, I think the fans will riot!
wow there’s some doucheness there. i also note he is 2 full years older than Darnold and i think also Rosen. that makes it more of a flag to me. but who knows ? i do like his path to get to where he did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
darnold is 20, rosen and allen are 21. mayfield turns 23 tomorrow. so yeah he's 2-3 years older then the rest of the class. also his path has been exaggerated a bit. I posted the real version but everyone ignored it. in short he walked in with texas tech in 2013 and was slated to be the 3rd string. the starter got hurt, the backup lost 40lbs before the season due to an illness so mayfield was handed the job by default. he got hurt about halfway into the season then webb (the one who was sick) took over and never gave baker back the starting job. He was given a chance to compete in 2014 for the job but he said he felt it wasn't fair to compete for the job because he already earned it. so he transferred to oklahoma in 2014 which caused him to miss the 2014 season due to transfer rules, where he then beat out a bum QB in 2015 and kept the job there with no real competition since. Many people paint him as a 2 time walk on winning the starting job, but that's far from the truth, he ran away from a real competition at texas tech to go compete with trevor knight who went undrafted and is currently on a practice squad in the NFL. his competition at texas tech in 2014 would have been davis webb who went in the 3rd round to the giants last year.
I will have no complaints if we take either Mayfield or Rosen, but I must admit that I would prefer Mayfield. The only big negative reaction will happen if we take Josh Allen.
It would be a mistake, but not BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worthy. Rosen is the better pick value-wise at #3 overall, but Mayfield has potential too. Like I have said in several threads, all 4 have Pro's and Con's. So no reason to Boo any of the 4 picks if your team chooses them. The true test will be looking back on how all 4 are doing a couple years from now. That is when teams and fans will have regret if they picked the wrong one.
Mayfield/Rosen. Either one, I think jets fans in general will be happy. Mayfield is my 1a and Rosen is 1b.
Alot depends on what the Giants do if Allen goes the Browns And the Giants get Chubb we won't have this discussion the Jets will select Darnold.
Personal opinion but I'd be a happy if it's a QB at #3 but if it's Allen then not happy. If it's not a QB then the FO have even more explaining the trade for the spot... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
I should qualify that - assuming picking a QB from is from a short list of Allen, Darnold, Rosen or Mayfield - can't trust them Jet FO guys.... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
