"Here is the kicker though, the final drive. The one that separates them men from the boys with a chance to win the SB. He throws a jump ball to Kearse which was tipped by the CB but Kearse made an amazing catch with 1 hand while on the ground. This gave seattle 1st and goal form the 5 yard line. The next play was a lynch run for 1 yard making it 2nd and goal from the 4 with 26 seconds on the clock. Seattle for some reason, calls a pass play and Wilson throws a game losing INT. Wilson finished 12/21 (57%) 247 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT. there have been 3 seasons since then. 2 losses in the divisional game (panthers, falcons) and last year missing the playoffs after going 9-7. They also lost a lot of talent and are a team on the decline. Wilson will be lucky to ever get another shot at a superbowl in his career"

You make a good point, but one key typo, when Seattle got to the NE 5 w/ 1:06 left, Lynch ran for +4 yards on 1st down, which
made it 2nd and goal from the one yard line, dumb-ass play call and execution by Seahawks:(:(

Ok now THIS was interesting to me... I charted Rosen's 5 hardest games the way I've been doing with Mayfield and Allen and this actually was less fun. Mayfield played in all five of his top five hardest games, and Allen only missed one. When charting Rosen, I considered throwing out his hardest game because he got benched during the game (game recap says he was limping) while they were getting steamrolled by Washington. Then, I had to throw out 3 more games that he missed that would have qualified for "hardest 5 games". Honestly, concussion narrative aside, Rosen was only available for half of his teams "hardest" games. This comes across to me as a negative point for Rosen (and a positive point for both Mayfield and Allen).

Here are the three he missed:

LMAO thanks! you are correct about the run. I know they got there with 1:05 but after the ball was snapped on 2nd down there was 26 seconds left with russel dropping to pass. I just fucked up the 4 yard gain and 2nd and goal form the 1. I said it backwards. I thought it was from the 1, but trusted wikipedia sadly because memory can be a bitch sometimes.

still at the end, he threw the game losing INT in the superbowl. he was likely too short to see the CB ready to jump the route.

I think they need to use a different grading scale for QBs. The position's importance, and complexity is orders of magnitude greater than any other position. It's apples and oranges.

Now THIS ^ is the first real concerning thing I've read about Rosen. Was he really hurt that badly, or is he "punch shy"? If he can't take the pounding in college, how will he ever survive in the NFL? This bears looking into deeper.

Yeah this was surprising to me too. Also to update, Darnold didn't miss any of his top 5 (I don't think he missed any games period since he took over the job against Utah in 2016).

I too want to look into Rosen a little bit more. I'm wondering if he is more fragile than I thought.

Another take away I had from Rosen that surprised me is his "hardest" competition with UCLA was no tougher than what Wyoming faced. He had more "high profile" games than Wyoming, but many of those high profile games were against teams with defenses that had shit rankings.

Good stuff. Well, "good" in the sense that the more actual facts we discover, the better, but I really would hate to learn that my #1 pick is tarnished. Still, I've always tried to remain open-minded, so bring it on.

If my memory is correct, Seattle had 1 timeout left, No Reason in the world to throw with Marshawn in the backfield, Worst Playcall
    in SB history!!!

thats why they get overdrafted, no reason to change the system. being a QB doens't make them better and the grading system works off talent, what it does though is make them more valuable hence subject to overdrafting

Well I wouldn't call it "overdrafting", since the cost is whatever the market will bear.

Good argument for taking either Barkley or Chubb.
Jax defense No. 2 Rushing No. 1
Eagles Defense No. 7 Rushing No. 3
MN Defense No. 1 Rushing No. 1
You can make the argument that Foles shredded NE in the championship game. NE pass D was ranked 30th in the league this year. They went to the SB because they had an NFL QB who ran an NFL O.

I think of it this way.

say you go to a local store and buy a 6 pack of beer for 10 bucks. The cost of that beer is under 2 bucks per bottle. that's the typical cost for that beer.

Now say you go to a bar and buy the same beer, it's likely going to be like 4-5 bucks

Now you go to a football game and buy the same beer, you are looking at 10 bucks

So realistically the value of the beer is only around 2 bucks, but due to supply and demand you can wind up paying much more for it some times, but it doens't mean the beer is actually worth 10 bucks, it's just because you are desperate and have no choice but to pay premium to get it at a bar or football game. and as you know everyone complains about "overpriced" beer at football games.
