How does it eliminate Mayfield? You said yourself that he has shown that he can play at a high level (dominate at the college level) and that he's accurate. The only off-field issue was the public drunkenness charge and resisting arrest. So he's a little immature. He's still a young kid. He would be in the perfect place with the Jets with both McCown and Teddy to mentor him and help him mature and learn the finer points of playing in the NFL and playing QB. Allen on the other hand hasn't even proven that he can play at a high level on the collegiate level, and you want to trust using the #3 pick on him just because he's tall/big and has a cannon for an arm? Never mind that he isn't very accurate, has trouble reading Ds, and has huge bust potential.

Sadly this is true, but they didn't do it by liking mayfield, as i said before we are all guessing including GMs and scouts, but they did it by acting like children, plugging their ears and screaming lalalalala and name calling
Darnold has the highest upside IMO. He's got great pocket presence, a little raw in terms of fundamentals, but can be developed. He would be the best case scenario in terms of short term and long-term Jet plans. Darnold probably wouldn't start right away, so you can see what Teddy brings to the table.

I guess we should all be wondering why Mayfield isn’t already signed by Cleveland to be the 1st pick or why Darnold/Rosen aren’t 3rd round prospects & Allen isn’t a potential UDFA?Mayfield is the be all end all Why even watch tape..just look at the stats & box scores.

I respect your postings and your work even if I disagree with your outcome. But I think your attacks on NCJetsfan changing his quote to say "I think I knows it all,and i'm so arrogant it isn't even funny, except it is. We are all Jet fans, we may disagree but come April 26th we will have a new QB to root for regardless of who it is. This is something we should all be excited about not something that should make us attack each other. I don't mean to lecture you but I think your a better poster than that but I can understand the frustration waiting for the draft. It can't come soon enough. Sometimes these things bring out the worst in us but that does not mean we are bad people and can't get along.

Sorry, but that's just a lame attitude imo. I respect you and your opinion, but you have obvious bias going on here against Mayfield, and are obviously in love with Allen's measurables and potential and blind to his limitations. I advise you to stock up on Pepto-Bismol, Maalox, Tagamet, Alka-Seltzer, or whatever you take for upset stomach, because I think the Jets are gonna shock the NFL and take Mayfield over Rosen and Allen. You're not the only one doing the hating that I see, but you're one of them. I don't hate Allen or any of the prospects. I think Mayfield is the best overall prospect for the reasons I outlined in my response to you last night. Mayfield definitely has things that he needs to learn, work on and improve, but then so do all the QB prospects. Aside from height, I just think that Mayfield has more going for him when one looks at all the overall factors, but I'll root just as hard for Allen, Rosen or Darnold if Mac takes one of them at #3.
I don’t think the jets are really considering Mayfield. I know assume and you don’t know and all that shit, just my opinion.
Why would you think anyone who has anything negative to say about mayfield is biased against him? why would anyone in their right minds be biased against a college kid who could wind up a jet? Did you ever stop and think, maybe the "he who smelt it, dealt it" saying takes place here and you think everyone is being biased against him, because you love him and are blinded to his negatives?
Darnold is bigger than Mayfield, but I don't think his arm is stronger. If he had only thrown at the Combine then we'd have a more definitive answer to that question, but he wussied out and didn't want to be viewed/evaluated next to the other QBs.
