Suh over Mo is a HUGE upgrade and would improve our D immensely... I'm all in on this move for the right deal.

It’s actually an interesting way at looking at this. If Suh was made available in the draft, does he make it past the 3rd round?

Jets need help in DL but I think we can do better with another FA who is younger, cheaper and may have more of an upside. I know there isn’t any top FA DL available but there always a possibility to nab a player who is released or cut during pre season.

I'm coming around to this move. I never really liked his dirty play or character but was indeed an enforcer out there. Hopefully his contract is set to go off the books when Leo is due to get paid. That would make sense. Again, I'd still rather go with younger guys and put more money into the offensively line, but this is a need.

Honestly, it seems like a Bowles move to me.

It's certainly possible. I hope they are putting pressure on Macc to fix the QB situation. That's the most important thing going forward.

2 or 3 year deal at the most

    Very good player
    Wouldn't mind signing him

But not worth the money mia was giving him

I'd give him $10 million just to see him step on Brady's head once.

I think this goes counter to everything we've been hearing about this rebuild. He may already be in decline, depending on who you listen to, and I don't see how he can be a part of the team in two or three years when our new QB is ready to (hopefully) lead us into the playoffs. It will make us more competitive this season, but what does that mean? It will eat cap space that could be carried over. I'm just sick of seeing this team bring in players for one or two seasons at the end of their careers. Are we a retirement home or something?

Suh brings attitude to the table. Jets D has shown a little bit of swagger like when they were schooling the Bills, but they could use a bit of nasty, too. I’d be all for this move if I didn’t believe he was using us to drive up his asking price.

Because somehow I bet that no one in the FO of this team thinks we need to wait 3 years to contend for the playoffs. Just like I dont think theyd ever complain that all it would do is make us more competitive this year. Yeah, that would suck.

I'm with you, I look at this team and I say, "Are we a retirement home or something?" Because, this is such and old team.

I absolutely see how he could help the team this year, but I don't see how that ties in with the rebuild we're supposedly attempting. High-priced vets over 30 are not the kind of free agents we need at this stage.

I don’t know. If a high priced vet can teach a team or at least some key contributors some things, they may be worth it. We have the money, we don’t have the draft picks.

Well, I said two or three years, because I don't think we'll be ready this year. Unless we go for the 'competitive rebuild' again, in which case Suh would be perfect and we can meet back here in a couple of years and ask why our roster is still full of holes.

They need to spend a certain amount anyways. So why not? A 1 to 2 year with an out after year 1 would be fine
