If they fall far enough I would use our third and fourth round picks to move up for a guy like Price or Raginaw.
Price is probably late 1st, early 2nd round material. Ragnow might be there in the 3rd, but I hear more and more about him as we get closer to the draft, so his stock might be rising. Plenty of time for it to drop back off, yet.
Price tore his bicep during the bench press at the combine. He should be there in the middle of round two. Raginow has been creeping up the draft board. Even if he gets to round three he will be gone before our slot.
Good intel. I did all my O-line research pre-combine, and I wasn't tracking that. *There's no "i" in Ragnow's name. Just FYI.
If it comes to pass, I promise I'll be as excited about our new C as most folks are about our new QB! (Taking into account that 2/3 of the posters here have already decided which QB prospects we should/shouldn't take, so some will be elated, and some will be threatening to leave the forum forever....)
5-11 is the Jets version of winning a playoff game.If they can get to 5-11 everyones happy Woody doesnt have a playoff mandate for a coach and gm entering there 4th year so 5-11 will be celebrated at Florham Park.Who knows Woody may even give him a lifetime extension if they get to 5-11 he will def get one at 6-10.
No one should expect us to be a playoff team in 2018. We are going to be starting either a 39 year old journeyman, a 25/26 year old who hasn't played in 2 years or a fresh out of college rookie at the Quarterback position. All we can hope for is that we are competitive in 90% of the games in which we play. I'm hopeful/optimistic that this could be a 7-8 win team in 2018 and if the Quarterback pans out, maybe they win a few more. I could also see another 4-5 W season because the schedule, as of March 21, is looking to be as tough if not tougher than last years schedule and this team does still have a bunch of holes where there isn't much talent or the talent, I believe, is a bit over-rated. But by 2019, we had best be competing for the playoffs, at the least.
The Bowles hate is really overboard at this point. If I'd said in 2015 the day the Jets hired Bowles coming off of a 4-12 season that his QB's the next 3 years would be Ryan Fitzpatrick x2 and Josh McCown and that the Jets would hit on about 5 draft picks total over the 3 years everybody would have pegged this team for 15 wins from 2015 to 2017.
I think the only way that we're awful next year is if we get an injury wave that hits units that are already depleted, like the DL and OL.
