Now with Bridgewater I want Jets to trade down and get an extra pick.. Use the pick to strengthen the OL. Pick up a project QB in later rounds like White , Lauletta, or Falk.

I have to say i'm gonna be disappointed if they pass. I guess I could live with Falk later on but we've seen that act too many times at this point for me. Be pro active and get a top 5 guy.

I was never a big fan of Bridgewater. Way too cautious and that does not win games

Well.... I wanted the JETS to draft him (among others) and now they finally get him after a traumatic potentially career ending injury. Sounds about right...

Let's just hope Bridgewater doesn't end up in Buffalo. That link above says he has other options.

Wife is from Minnesota and we moved to MN 3+ years ago so I've been watching them a lot for the last decade.

what i've seen: Bridgewater isn't bad. He probably won't win games for you but he won't lose them either. Throws a loopy deep ball but his short accuracy is pretty good. Excellent in the pocket (slides around well to make room/time to throw). His performance is hard to really gauge as you have to factor in the schizo offense the vikes ran when he and AP were both on the team. AP runs almost exclusively out of the I formation, bridgewater passes almost exclusively out of the gun. They had to run different offense for each and AP's presence on the field was a huge tell because he was a competent blocker/pass catcher at best.

What i've heard: last year all the MN sports folks were talking about how Teddy had taken advantage of the time away to "rebuild his body". Supposedly put on a fair amount of upper body strength etc. Teammates were on fire about how good he looked at practice last year. Supposedly throwing really well. He sounded aggressive and confident with a chip on his shoulder.

Jets mileage may vary but personally, I think his ceiling is a little higher than mckown with a comparable floor but the knee would scare the hell out of me. I'd make sure i have a serviceable backup (mckown, glennon, foles).

That just says he was on the Vikings for 4 years not that the deal is 4 years.

I like the move. I don't know if it will work out but at least its trying. I'd rather sign a young talent hungry for a comeback than a "has-been" any day.

Bridgewater is a good dude too. Gotta keep a close check on that knee though. It doesn't stop the Jets from drafting a QB as well. Bridgewater would be here on a flier to rebuild his career, he's not gonna be handed the keys to the future of the franchise

"There are no available images of Bridgewater's injury. They exist, no doubt -- every NFL team records every second of practice, from the moment players begin stretching until they leave the field. And yet it seems nobody outside the organization has seen the moment Bridgewater went back to pass in a noncontact 11-on-11 drill, tripped in some fashion and landed in a way that caused his left leg to dangle in an anatomically impossible way nobody wants to talk about."

Apparently everyone was turning away and yelling in shock and horror, just like with Gordon Hayward. I wonder if the Jets asked to see this footage.
