Looks like we are the last man on the totem pole in free agency. Let's hope that Macc has something planned for the draft.
I wouldn't say desperate so much but im certain he was a plan B or C in all this. When your back up plans start falling off then plan A becomes more important. I'm sure there was other plans but cousins was easily there best plan.
That would be the Jets. Always their first thoughts and actions are to address the D, and to hell with the offense. Whatever leftovers they can scrape together for the offense is ok with them.
Well, we don't HAVE to watch. Since $s is what Woody cares most about, maybe if fans stayed home in droves, didn't watch and the ratings for Jets games is abysmal, maybe Woody would be forced to make some changes.
I wouldn't be. I think he's overrated, and I don't like the idea of signing old FAs for a rebuilding team, but in order to even approach spending the kind of money that Mac needs to, he's probably going to have to pay Johnson $18 million per season to come play for the Jets.
As much as that sounds like a sarcastic funny joke it's true lol. With what Cleveland has done already and there upcoming draft they will probably not be the punchline team...we will be.
How in the hell is it even possible that the team with the most cap room has yet to sign anyone? Is Mac drunk right now?
May be a product of Wade Phillips coming in there, but I feel way more comfortable with him on the outside instead of Skrine and company. We are going to have to overpay for some guys and have the money to do it. Its different if we didn't have the money, but we do and in spades.
I would think he has a solid 3 years left of play before declining. Throw him a 4-5 year deal with outs after year 3.
I definitely don't want Skrine on the outside (or even on the team for that matter). I'm hoping that they can replace him in the slot and release him.
Maybe not everyone's favorite FA but I'm hoping we sign Malcom Butler. Good CB with insider info on the evil one.
