Maybe you didn't see the game, but Denver SO outclassed the Jets from the start, it actually was a great indicator of the talent gap, both on the field and the sidelines. And because "strength of schedule" is so subjective, it really isn't a better method than head to head whenever possible.
There is nothing subjective as using 16 games instead of 1. If head to head was so perfect it would be a tie breaker for playoffs. It's not. You beat KC last year, while they were in their free fall. Was that the same as beating them during their 5-1 start? Nope
I cried about nothing. I didn't ask anyone to ignore me. I don't get twisted when someone disagrees with me, don't take it personal. I'll never get that.
Even though your sentence structure makes this read as though you agree that using relative strength of schedule IS subjective, I'm sure you meant the opposite. In any case the decision of whose schedule is stronger IS subjective. You can use statistics to try and support your decision as to whose schedule is tougher, but the conclusion is still an opinion, not fact. Whereas when two teams face each other, their relative strength can be directly measured. Of course when two teams play to a tie, or nearly to a tie, the result may not be as clear, but it's objective, not subjective. And specifically, in the case of comparing the Jets to the Broncos, there is no doubt if you had watched the game who was the better team. I understand that the NFL uses S.O.S. for its purposes, but they're wrong to do so IMO.
Yeah, you did cry. On behalf of poor, poor, Kirk Cousins, who I so ridiculed. Which, BTW, I'd like to see some examples of this before I even consider addressing. And me telling you to ignore me, was for your sake, not mine, because I don't want to listen to your hurt feelings, but if you choose not to, it's fine with me.
Really? You and two others cant get this without asking a question? LOL, yeah, you beat a team when theyre playing well, its different than when theyre in a free fall. If you 3 cant figure that one out, cant help you.
You need to make a point. I dont need you to do anything for my sake. Its the internet, only dweebs get their panties twisted when someone disagrees with the. Guess its easier than actually making a point fooball related. Go back to explaining how strength of schedule is subjective and keep ignoring that its the way the NFL breaks ties.
I did explain it, but if you want to be obtuse and not get it, that's okay. And I did acknowledge that this is the way the NFL does it, but that I don't think it's the best approach IMO. Maybe if you dropped the need to try and show me up and boost your own ego you might comprehend things better.
Maybe if you stop arguing that you know better than me and the NFL it would have died long ago. But you cant stop. Done
Devin Smith is a wasted pick, because he blew out is knee Then Deshaun Watson sure as hell better be a wasted pick too, but not to you and your twisted logic Mahomes has not shown jack shit yet in his 1 whole game, but just because the Chiefs cleared the deck for him and made him the starter you think he was the answer. He has shown NOTHING YET We sure as heck needed 2 safeties BIG TIME! Our safety position was pathetic, thx to Idzik by the way. How about you stop gumming up every thread with your anti-everything BS and go lie down in traffic. We get it, Hack was a wasted pick no doubt-happens to every GM. He cleared our deck last year by cutting all our worthless veterans and setting us up with 90-100mm to spend. How about rooting for the team instead of taking a verbal dump every 3rd post. The real shocking thing here is that 1301 people have liked anything from your mouth somehow over the years.
Aw somebody taint hurts. Nobody has time for your homerism. Every comment you made was stupid. I'll say it again stupid. No we didn't need 2 safeties. Our secondary still sucked and between the two they had what 2 interceptions. You comments about Watson and mahomes registers as more stupid. Both showed more promise than any drafted Jets quarterback since Pennington. No one cares what you think and most never heard of you. Now go away for another 6 months clown.
Lie down in traffic? 1301 people liked anything from your mouth? Can we please stop the personal attacks?
CC, I think I understand what you're saying but let's clear something up. There is NOTHING "subjective" about using strength of schedule to break ties. The only way for strength of schedule to be subjective would be for some committee to just eyeball the respective schedules and say, "This one looks stronger. Let's go with this team." That's not what happens. There is a specific formula in place which uses nothing but hard data. You think the formula sucks? That's subjective. You disagree with using SoS as a tie-breaker in any form? That's subjective. The formula itself is based entirely on facts and thus 100% objective. The only "opinion" in play was the owners' deciding that this particular SoS formula was the best way to break ties. But if they decided that head-to-head was the better method, that too would be just an opinion. The systems themselves -- this very form of SoS AND head-to-head -- are both 100% objective.
It amazes me that people are actually paying attention to how many likes they or other poster have gotten.
