Looks like a storm that tracks up the Mississippi will pass west of your area but may drop some light snow Sunday...Outside shot a low forms off the tail of a cold front that comes through Sunday night for Monday...still...Sundays event doesn't seem to be much at all. Right now.
too bad todays system was not more West,,,,,,some parts of LI have over 4 inches right now and still coming down
looks like a rain to snow thing and really late on the transition overnight Thursday? Done by very early Friday? Just checked EURO and GFS and doesn't seem like much...will check again now.
Nah...I mean maybe a dusting to a few inches if the changeover happens faster overnight. Checking on next week it seems like several mediocre systems,.3 day span. GFS wants to put down around 6-8" COMBINED. Anytime you get the combined word...rarely pans out. Perhaps one system will be the playa. Looks like around the February 6 to 9th period.
Jay, FJF Any change in Sunday outlook? Open House is between 2 PM and 4 PM and I need snow to wait until like 6 PM if possible.
Here is what I have noticed------THIS YEAR the models have done a decent job long range-LIKE 8 OR 1O days out----but have always lost these systems or the handle on them as they get 3 or so days away and then it seems no matter which system the have ALL moved North n West within 24 hrs or once they began,,,,,I think 1 event did not go NW just 1 so far this year.
I think you’re ok. There may be some flakes but nothing that could keep people off the roads. I have to question holding the open house on super Sunday though brook.
I am as surprised as you are. In fact this isn’t the only open house. There will be more. But our realtor is the best in town. She is selling houses in Madison for the past 35 years. She is also our neighbor. She says the most successful open houses she had was on Superbowl Sundays. She says a lot of people are on the roads visiting friends and when they see an open house they stop by and word travels fast. I said fine. Go ahead and do it on Super Sunday. If it wasn’t Pats on the Superbowl I might have asked her to push it a week but nah. No desire to watch the Superbowl this year.
good luck, sounds like she knows what she is doing.i'm supposed to be closing on a new one soon, i feel like i have been pulling my agent to the finish line kicking and screaming.
If you have a fireplace, make sure to have a fire going and if your oven has a timer that will shut it off when done, put a batch of chocolate chip cookies baking in there right before you leave. You want the house warm, inviting and smelling good. If the cookies in the oven is not an option go with another smell good choice. Hopefully your agent knows these things but just wanted to mention.
I don't want to alarm Brook or go against our gods of weather that post here BUT -------> I believe Sunday is still on the table and it very well could snow Sunday into Monday BUT then again these models are just so unreliable this year----thoughts
As long as there is no rain/snow until like 5:30 PM, 6:00 PM on Sunday I am good. Just no precipitation on Sunday until early evening please.
